Vaseline x Flywheel
You might have already seen my vacation snaps on social media, but I’ve spending my weekend in the beautiful Florida Keys with Stephanie from Diary of a Debutante and Christina from Christy Alexa Boutique! We already had already talked about fitting in a workout before our bikini-filled weekend, so we were pumped when Vaseline invited us to check out their partnership with Flywheel Sports in Boca Raton!
The Boca Raton Flywheel Sports studio features two signature classes: Flywheel and FlyBarre. Flywheel is a modern twist on a traditional spinning class, and I’ll admit I was a little intimidated to try out my first class. I’m not exactly in the best shape, and I was afraid I’d be huffing and puffing in the corner while the pro-level spinners were continuing the course at 150 RPM. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case! The Flywheel class is held in a dimly lit studio, and the instructor gave clear instructions that made it easy to follow along. You can also adjust the torque (resistance) on your bikes throughout the class if you want to amp up the intensity level. While most of the class consisted of traditional spinning moves, at the end of the class we picked up weighted bars to workout our arms. I was pretty sure that I’d fall off my bike trying to do bicep curls and cycling at the same time. I might have looked like a crazy person balancing on the bike, but I stayed upright so I’m calling it a win!
While we didn’t reach the torque or RPM level of the frequent riders, Stephanie and I did survive the class! The loud music helped to keep me motivated, and I loved that the instructor kept us engaged without pressuring us to perform at her level of fitness. It was a great workout that left my heart pumping and muscles sore without completely exhausting my body. I’d definitely try it again, and I’d love to try out their FlyBarre class as well!
Vaseline is partnering with Flywheel Sports through July 20th, so you can receive a free can of Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer with any Flywheel class! The spray format of the lotion makes it easy to apply post-workout, and it’s the perfect pick-me-up after an intense class. I had the energy of a sloth after an hour of cycling, so anything that saves time/energy post-workout is a lifesaver. Instead of having to undress and spend 15 minutes rubbing in a thick lotion, the Vaseline spray moisturizers can be applied in seconds and absorb almost instantly. I’ve always been partial to the Aloe Soothe formula because I love the fresh scent, but all three varieties are fabulous.
Once we staggered out of the class on our jelly legs, we took a quick shower and picked out our favorite Vaseline spray lotions. A few quick sprays of lotion later, we were refreshed and ready to start the second leg of our epic road trip to the Keys! If you want to check out a Flywheel class for yourself or take advantage of Flywheel x Vaseline promotion, you can schedule a class on the Flywheel Sports website!
What’s your favorite summer workout? Have you tried Flywheel before?
