Spring Bike Ride in The Park
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Columbia Bicycles, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RideColumbia http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
I have a tendency to be a total homebody. I love being outdoors, but every weekend I find myself spending hours working on the computer, binging on Netflix, or running errands instead of enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Spending the majority of my time indoors has just become a bad habit for me, so my husband and I made an agreement a few weeks ago to plan an outdoor outing at least once every weekend. After all, we live in one of the world’s most beautiful states; we shouldn’t be wasting our time staring at a computer screen!
Instead of making formal plans, we popped our bikes in my car and headed to an area of our town that we haven’t been to before. It was so relaxing to ride around town without a schedule or a plan, and we ended up stumbling onto an adorable street filled with spring flowers of every shape and color. It was a simple afternoon cruising on our bikes and picking up a quick lunch, but I can’t remember when I’ve enjoyed a weekend morning more.
I have to say that my idyllic weekend ride through the park was possible thanks to my new bike. I’ve been searching for the perfect bike for a few months, but it was hard to find exactly what I wanted. I wanted a cute and classic-looking bike without the technical frills. I’m not a cycling expert, so a dozen speed options just confuse me. The Columbia 1937 Retro Cruiser (available for purchase at Walmart) was the perfect fit. The retro design is adorable, and the single-speed functionality and coaster brake make it easy for me to ride. The bright white color doesn’t hurt either! It looks stunning against the colorful spring flowers. The authentic 1937 Columbia design includes a steel frame, tank, and chain grand without any plastic, and the Columbia-embossed saddle is soft and surprisingly comfortable. I’m pretty much head over heels for this bike already, but I can’t wait to attach a cute basket to the steel rear cargo rack for my spring and summer outings! If you’re looking for a new bicycle, check out Columbia. They were the first company to sell bicycles in the US back in 1877, and they event invented the tandem bicycle (bicycle for two). Be sure to check Toys R Us, Target, Amazon, Walmart and Dicks retailers where Columbia Bicycles can be found!
