Selecting the Perfect Faucet for My Kitchen Mini-Redo! { Delta Touch2O Kitchen Faucets }

In the past four years, I have moved five times. Needless to say, we’ve been moving around so often, that I haven’t had the chance to do any real decorating. I’ve been restraining myself from spending money/time on home decor for the past four years, and I honestly can’t wait any longer! I’ve decided to do a mini-makeover on our kitchen, and I’m starting by replacing our faucet first. I’m sure you’re thinking, why start with a faucet? Honestly, we live in a small one-bedroom rental, and small changes can make a big difference in overall decor. It also may have something to do with the fact that our faucet leaks like crazy…
Did I mention my faucet also likes to spray in every direction?
While I’m excited to enhance our kitchen, I have to stay within the kitchen’s general aesthetic as we aren’t planning on staying in this apartment long-term. I don’t really have the option to redo the cabinets or countertops, so I am hoping that sprucing up the kitchen with little personal touches will help make it feel less “rental-y” and more “me!”
When I first started looking for faucets, I was completely overwhelmed with how many options there were online! Who know that there are THOUSANDS of different faucets to choose from? Thankfully, Delta Faucet came to the rescue and gave me the opportunity to try out one of their faucets. I knew that I was interested in their Touch2O Kitchen Faucets,  which start/stop the flow of water with the a slight tap anywhere on the faucet. How handy would it be to be able to tap the faucet with your elbow when you’ve just been handling raw chicken or something unsanitary? The faucet also automatically turns off after four minutes if someone accidentally leaves the water running.

So here’s a breakdown of the first part of my design process.

Step One: Style Quiz
I started my search on  DeltaFaucet.com, and my first step was to take the Delta Style Quiz to narrow my choices and find a faucet that fit my kitchen aesthetic.  The quiz told me my design style was Traditional, which makes sense. With a home, I don’t want to go to trendy or modern with the main fixtures, such as the faucets, so that I have a little more room to add fun accessories.

The style quiz recommended the following faucets, and I actually did like all of them!

Step Two: Find Design Inspiration
After taking the style quiz, I was still undecided about which faucet I wanted to choose, so I decided to look for more inspiration from the Delta Decorating Styles website. I’m somewhere in between modern and traditional, so I looked at the kitchens in both categories.

If I could only add that view to my kitchen re-do!

 Love the white cabinets!

Step Three: Choose Your Faucet
After much debate, I chose the Delta Touch2O Cassidy Kitchen Faucet in Arctic Stainless. I love the rounded shape that’s classic but not too old-fashioned looking.

As you can see from the pictures at the beginning of the post, my kitchen is pretty tiny. I think that the Cassidy faucet will add a lot of character to the small space, and the stainless steel with match the other appliances.

I am so excited to get my new faucet installed, and I can’t wait to see how the new faucet enhances the appearance of my kitchen! I will be sure to update you guys on my mini-makeover’s progress.

Have you done any remodeling or home decorating lately? Any blogs or websites I should check out for more inspiration?
