Affordable Holiday Outfit Idea + Tips for A Bright Smile
Christmas is only nine days away, which means it’s time to get ready for good food, fun presents, and great times with your family and friends. Oh, and lots and lots of holiday photos. My cousin Michelle can vouch for me when I say that my family goes a little bit crazy with the holiday photos. Our grandmother was a fabulous photographer, and she wanted to make sure that every Christmas moment was documented forever with a photo. While we complained about taking photos as children, it’s incredible to look back at all of our holiday memories as an adult. In fact, Michelle and I have basically taken over the role of family photographer, so we’re the ones who are responsible for getting each family member to pose with their presents, food, siblings, parents…ok, we pretty much make people take photos every five seconds. What can I say? Our grandmother trained us well.
While I think that every photo of someone else is adorable, I’m really picky with photos of myself. The problem mainly has to do with my teeth. After years of braces (AKA torture for my teeth), I have a big smile in almost every photo; however, the shade of my teeth is lackluster. I’m a compulsive Diet Coke drinker, and I’ll admit that I’m not consistent with my teeth whitening routine. Yes, I brush my teeth multiple times a day, but that doesn’t always remove the stains. Over the holidays, I don’t want to be self-conscious about my teeth. I have a huge smile when I’m spending time with my family, and I want to make sure that happiness is documented in each and every holiday photo.

I’ve added teeth whitening to my nightly routine a two times a week for the past two weeks, and I’ve seen a noticeable difference in whiteness. I pop on a Whitestrip, jump into my holiday PJs, pump up the Christmas jams, and wrap presents for an hour while the Crest 3D White Whitestrips do their thang. Unlike other whitening strips I’ve tried in the past, the Crest 3D White Whitestrips have an Advanced Seal Technology that keeps the strips in place. That means you can still talk and drink water while you’re whitening your teeth, or in my case, belt out Jingle Bells 25 times in a row to annoy your husband. I saw subtle results after one use, and my smile has gotten whiter and brighter over the past few weeks. Bye bye, Diet Coke-stained teeth! Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the Crest 3D White Whitestrips 1-Hour Express Teeth Whitening Kit uses the same enamel-safe teeth whitening ingredients used by dentists, which means you can save money and still get incredible results. If you want to whiten your teeth before the holidays begin, head to Walmart.com and pick up the Crest 3D White Whitestrips 1-Hour Express Teeth Whitening Kit. For a limited time, when you buy one box, you’ll get a second box for FREE! While this offer is a great way to stock up on Whitestrips for 2016, it’s also a fabulous gift idea. I’ve been using one box this month, and I wrapped up the second box for my husband. He’s a teeth whitening fanatic, so I know he’ll be thrilled to see this kit in his stocking on Christmas morning.
