Comfortable Fall Outfit Idea
When you move, you really find out how much junk you have tucked away in closets and drawers. As I was packing for our recent move, I found all sorts of random treasures that had been lost for months, but I also realized that we barely use the majority of the items in our home. I have gorgeous party dresses that only get worn once a year and fancy designer shoes that rarely see the light of day. It’s not that I don’t love their design and aesthetic. It’s because they’re uncomfortable. On an everyday basis, my main fashion priority is to look presentable and feel comfortable. I don’t want to be tugging on my clothing or dealing with blisters throughout the day. I have a bad habit of buying clothes and accessories on their aesthetic alone, but I just can’t do it anymore. From now on, I’m making it a priority to buy items that are cute AND comfortable, so that I can actually get good use out of my fashion investments. This casual fall outfit is basically one or two steps away from wearing pajamas. My stretchy dark grey jeggings and cozy off-the-shoulder sweater are as cozy as they can be, and my knee-high SOREL boots make my feet very happy. Most of the boots in my closet have a completely flat sole, which means that my feet start aching after less than an hour of wear.
