Make Your Own Yearbooks + Giveaway!
I’ve always had a thing for yearbooks. I still have all of my middle and high school yearbooks, and I’ll browse through them whenever I need a good laugh. While I love reminiscing over the bad haircuts, questionable fashion choices, and even more questionable relationship choices (they always seem cute at the time, right?), I never loved the look of my school yearbooks. They generally had a boring, old-fashioned layout that seemed to be the same as my parents’ yearbooks from thirty years earlier.
I was browsing on Pinterest the other day, and I saw several pins about creating family yearbooks and immediately thought what a great idea it would be for family reunions, Christmas presents…and then I started thinking about my dance classes. As a teen, I spent nearly as much time in my dance studio as I did at my high school. I feel like I formed a life long bond with my dance teachers and fellow dance students, and I would have loved to have a yearbook documenting the dance studio’s yearly events! Now that I am a dance teacher myself, I thought it would be an adorable idea to the studio owners if they’d consider making a yearbook for the kids.
I started researching yearbooks that you could self-publish and found out that allows you to create your own yearbooks and print them for as little as $6 a copy! The process is similar to making a Shutterfly photo book, and the templates make the process incredibly easy! I think these yearbooks would be a fantastic idea for families, dance studios, clubs, and sports teams and a creative alternative to the normal bake sales or car washes!
Here are a few examples of the adorable templates that I found:
