After sharing Summer’s first birthday party with you last year (see her Sophie La Girafe in Paris party here), it was such a treat to see people respond to my pins sharing that they’d created a Sophie La Girafe party for their children based on Summer’s party. For Summer’s second birthday party, we wanted to keep things simple and easy because I was 9-months-pregnant with Luna, but I still wanted to give her an extra special birthday.
Summer was (and still is) OBSESSED with all things Peppa Pig, so the theme was a no-brainer for us. Keep reading to learn how to create a cute Peppa Pig birthday party for toddlers at your home! I’m sharing all of the supplies we used to create this fun party setup, and each and every item is affordable and can be shipped straight to your doorstep.
Peppa Pig Birthday Party Ideas

Since Summer was so little, we didn’t want to clutter the entire home with decorations because we wanted as much room as possible for her and our families to play together. Based on our home’s layout, we like to have a main dessert table / decor setup, and then we scatter balloons and other little pockets of party decor throughout our home. It keeps things easy and affordable, but the decor still makes an impact. Here are all of the sources of our Peppa Pig birthday party decor!

For our main dessert table setup, I want to keep everything pink, rainbows, and Peppa Pig – all of Summer’s favorites. I decided last-minute to make a balloon arch, and I am SO happy we did because it packs a huge punch and was actually pretty easy to create. I’ll share exactly how we made it below, but combined with some KILLER Peppa Pig cookies and a custom Peppa Pig cake from Be Still Bakery, it created an adorable Peppa Pig dessert table.

Peppa Pig Birthday Party Cake + Cookies

While I love cooking, I’m honestly not a great artist lol. I always outsource our kids’ cookies and cakes, and it makes such a big difference. Summer was SO excited to see all of her favorite Peppa Pig characters as cookies, and our guests loved taking some of these fun cookies home.
All of the cookies AND the cake were made by Be Still Bakery (previously known as Unique and Chic Creations) based in Ocala, Florida. Megan, the owner of Be Still Bakery, also made the cake and cookies for Summer’s Sophie La Girafe first birthday party.
Her work is OUTSTANDING, and I would recommend her 1000% if you need cakes or cookies and live in the central Florida area. She can literally make ANYTHING, and her attention to detail and level of customer service is unparalleled. You can look at her work and contact her via her Instagram and Facebook.

If you’d like to make your own Peppa Pig cookies or if you’re looking for the exact cookie cutters that our baker used, I’ve linked them all below for reference. If you’re hoping to have a professional make similar cookies, I’d definitely send them a link to these cookie cutters because they’re a bit hard to find.

How to Make a Balloon Arch

When people see photos of Summer’s Peppa Pig birthday party, the first question is always
“how much did that balloon arch cost?” Believe it or not, we made it ourselves, and it was actually extremely affordable and easy to make. With that being said, it is a bit time-consuming and tedious. My brother and his girlfriend came over to help us assemble it quickly, but it could absolutely be done with less people. I’d recommend carving out at least 3 hours to create, assemble, and install a balloon arch this large.
The first step is to buy a balloon arch kit (TONS of affordable options available here) and a balloon pump. We liked this balloon pump in particular because it allowed us to blow up multiple balloons at once.
Once you have all of the supplies, simply blow up all of the balloons (the kit will have different colors and different sizes) with the balloon pump. Don’t fill the balloons to their maximum capacity. You really want most of the balloons to be rounder vs teardrop-shaped to get the right shape in your arch.
Next, you’ll need to slip the ends of the balloons into the balloon arch strip that’s included in the kit. It’s a plastic strip with little holes. We alternated the colors and sizes of the balloons in the holes, and we concentrated on spreading out the extra-large balloons throughout the strip in the appropriate places. Once all of the largest balloons are in place, we used the included glue dots to fill in the holes with the medium-sized balloons. Finally, we used the glue dots to adhere the smallest balloons throughout the arch.
After the balloon arch is fully assembled, hang it in place for the party. We tried to use all types of different things to hang up the arch, and at the end of the day, small nails worked the best. Tacks and command hooks didn’t work for us, but we had a limited selection to choose from. Keep in mind the balloon arch does end up weighing several pounds, so you’ll need something fairly secure. We used several small nails to create the shape of the balloon arch.
Overall, the process was EXTREMELY simple. We assembled it the evening before, but I wouldn’t recommend assembling more than maybe 36 hours in advance because some of the balloons could deflate, but more importantly, your toddler is definitely going to pop some of the balloons haha! Turn on your favorite show, grab a friend, and make this awesome balloon arch for your party!

TABLE SETUP
White and Gold Dresser (also available )
Pink and White Balloon Arch Kit + Balloon Pump
Painted Mason Jars: I made them using this DIY Painted Mason Jar tutorial, but you can also purchase them pre-made .
CAKE + COOKIE SUPPLIES: As mentioned earlier, all of the cookies and the cake in today’s post were created by Be Still Bakery (previously known as Unique and Chic Creations). Both her work and level of customer service are outstanding, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough to you. If you need a baker in the Central Florida area, Be Still Bakery is your gal! You can look at her work and contact her via her Instagram and Facebook.
These are the exact cookie cutters I bought for the bakery to use to make the cookies, so if you’re interested in trying yourself or need to direct your baker to a source, these are great.
(other )
White Cake Stand: I can’t find the exact cake stands that were used, but these are similar. I bought mine at Home Goods.
BALLOONS + SUPPLIES
Pink and White Balloon Arch Kit: Tons of balloon arch kits available in different color combinations here.
Balloon Pump: This pump doesn’t include helium – it’s just air. We used it to blow up any balloons that didn’t need to float – including the balloon arch and a few balloons that we were taping to the wall.
Peppa Pig and George Pig Balloons
Happy Birthday Balloon Kit: These balloons have an included straw to help you blow them up (very quick and easy), but please note they do NOT float. You’ll need to stick them to the wall, so I’d recommend picking up tape or sticky wall putty for this purpose.
Smiling Rainbow & Cloud Balloons
Number Balloons: We also used a large number 2 balloon in the decor, but you can buy all of the numbers here.
Heart Balloons: We used pink and rose gold heart balloons, but there are tons of colors available here.
: These are the exact helium tanks we used to blow up the Peppa Pig, sunshine, heart, and rainbow balloons in addition to a few extra balloons we used throughout our decor.
After working out the cost, it’s about the same price as getting them blown up in a store, BUT we always opt to blow them up ourselves because it’s difficult and annoying to drive with a car STUFFED full of floating balloons. Much easier this way in my opinion.
You can order online and pick-up same day via drive-up or get it delivered straight to your doorstep. I’d recommend ordering the jumbo tank if you plan on blowing up quite a bit of balloons to avoid having to make a second trip. Available and here.
