transition your wardrobe into fall {no nonsense leggings and tights!}
Let’s be honest. I live in LA where there are basically two seasons: hot (90s+) and not so hot (60s). As much as I love the traditional fall fashion pieces of thick, cozy sweaters and luxurious coats, I only get to wear them for a month or two each year. That makes it super silly to invest in an entire fall wardrobe when it’s bright and sunny for the majority of the year. By investing in a few cute items in neutral colors, I can add fun fall accessories and layers to accommodate for the colder weather…but I can also wear the same pieces in spring with bare legs and sandals.
One of my favorite ways to transition spring/summer pieces into fall is to add tights and leggings in fun colors and textures. Investing in a few fall colored tights and leggings doesn’t cost much, and the extra layer adds warmth and coziness to your outfit- especially for babies like me who get cold in any air-conditioned building !
I recently got to try out two varieties of No nonsense tights and leggings: the corduroy leggings in expresso and the super opaque control top tights in deep burgundy, and they are the perfect additions to my fall wardrobe. Not only are they super comfy (I’ve even worn the leggings to sleep in!), but they add a fun pop of fall color without being scary. They’ve been the easiest last minute fall accessory to all of my outfits!
The brown corduroy leggings (seen in the picture on the left) are thick enough to wear as pants, and they are ridiculously comfortable. The deep brown color adds dimension to my outfits, and I love how the color pairs with my charcoal gray accessories. My dear husband unfortunately cut off my favorite charcoal Aldo boots in the picture, but they go great with the leggings! If you would’ve asked me a month ago about fall accessories, burgundy tights wouldn’t have even crossed my mind. Now I honestly can’t get enough of them. The deep burgundy color covers up my super pale winter legs (hallelujah!), and makes any outfit instantly more festive. I recently paired them with a blush lace dress, shiny gold belt, and black pumps for a fancy dinner date, but I love how it looks with all neutrals! Burgundy is the perfect color for the holidays, and I love that it isn’t as harsh against my fair complexion as black tights sometimes are. I also love how thick the tights are, which allows the color to remain opaque and actually show up on my legs!
No nonsense tights and leggings are available in grocery and drugstores nationwide, but you can find where they’re sold closest to you by using the store locator (+ you can print out a coupon!). If you’d like more information on the brand, check them out on Facebook and Twitter. I know that I am definitely going to check out the other colors they offer to add to my collection!
