During our most recent trip to LA, my husband and our best friend wanted to go on a short hiking trip up to a beautiful spot known to Newport locals as “Top of The World” park. As any girl naturally would, I decide that the best and most appropriate outfit for a morning of light hiking was a dress…a white dress. And then the dress was so cute that I had to add an adorable pair of gold sandals, and a lots of gold accessories. As we got into the car to drive to our gorgeous destination, the boys looked at me like I was absolutely nuts. Just between you and me, they would thought I was even more crazy if they knew that it was a “special” time of the month. Now, I wasn’t just wearing a dress. I was wearing a white dress in lightweight fabric. Now you think I am crazy, but I’m not! With summer in full swing, I want to bust out the mini dresses, and I had just bought this adorable lace cutout white dress. You know how it is. When you have your heart set on an outfit, there’s nothing in this world that can stop you from wearing it! I added all of the essentials to my perfect summer dress: gold bangles and rings and a gold clutch, coral gloss and nail polish, tons of mascara, and orange blossom perfume. I also packed a few extra U by Kotex products just in case!
My white dress turned out to the be the perfect choice. We only had to walk up one hill, and the light material and lace cutouts helped me stay cool in the warm weather.
There’s honestly nothing like California blue skies. The view was phenomenally beautiful, and the park was so peaceful and serene. I could definitely imagine myself spending hours there reading or talking with friends!
As you can see in my pictures, I didn’t have a care in the world during my day at the park- and definitely no worries about my fashion choices!
