When I was a bridesmaid in my sister-in-law Megan‘s wedding, was lucky enough to get airbrush makeup applied by a makeup artist before the event. The makeup artist assured us that the airbrush foundation would last all day long and keep us looking flawless for photos. I was honestly pretty skeptical of her claims. The wedding was in the middle of a hot and humid Floridian summer at the beach. In my mind, there was just no way that any foundation couldn’t resist melting, smudging, and smearing in 90+ degree weather. Well, I was wrong. The airbrush foundation continued to look amazing until well past midnight and not even one bit smeared off despite several bouts of crying and hours of sweating at the beach. From that moment on, I was completely hooked on airbrush makeup; however, I always assumed it would be too difficult and time consuming to do at home. After finding your perfect shade of TEMPTU foundation, simply pop the foundation AIRpod (c/o) into the TEMPTU airbrush system. I recommend holding the airbrush gun approximately 5 inches away from your face to ensure even coverage. Simply pull lightly on the trigger and move the gun in even circular motions around your face. The great thing about the Temptu airbrush system is that you control the level of coverage of the foundation. You can create sheer to full coverage depending on how many times you go over your skin. If you need extra coverage over blemishes or discoloration, simply add an extra layer over that particular area. I also like to add a sheer layer to my eyelids to cover any discoloration. The foundation also doubles as an eyeshadow primer, so your eyeshadow will last all day long! After creating your perfect finish, you’ll want to allow the foundation to dry for a minute or two. Once the foundation is set, it’s not moving!
After evening your complexion, you’ll want to add a little bit of color to your face. I like to use the TEMPTU AIRpod blush in Pale Pink (c/o) to create a naturally flushed cheek. A little bit of the TEMPTU blush goes a long way, so I’d recommend holding the airbrush gun 6-7 inches away from your face and applying a little bit of product at a time. After your cheeks are perfectly rosy, let the airbrush blush sit for a minute to dry.
The last step in my airbrush routine is to use the TEMPTU AIRpod highlighter in Champagne (c/o). This highlighter is heaven. The slightly shimmery shade creates a natural highlight that makes your face glow. If you’re wondering how celebrities achieve that other-worldly glow, it’s this highlighter. To apply the highlighter, I hold the airbrush gun about 6-7 inches away from my face and run it along the top of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, and at the top of my lips. The finished look is glowy, flawless skin.
Once your foundation, blush, and highlighter have dried, it’s time to finish the look. I tend to wear casual, feminine clothes, so I opt for a natural daytime look most days. For this look, I added a bit of Strange, Burner, and Nooner eyeshadow from the palette to my eyes to create a natural look for fall. I used the to define the outer edge of my eyes and lengthened my lashes with two coats of . To finish the look, I filled in my lips with the perfect fall lip, Revlon’s Lip Butter in Sugar Plum. The finished look is classic and pretty, and it won’t move all day long! If you spend long hours at the office or running errands, this daytime look is perfect for you.
