How to Look Amazing in Holiday Photos
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Colgate. I received a product sample for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. #ColgateEnamelHealth
The holiday season has arrived, which means it’s time to prep your Christmas cards, home decor, and party outfits. Over the next months, there will be cameras flashing at every single event, and you’ll probably be tagged in every single one of those photos on social media…which means you’re going to want to be camera ready for all of your holiday events. Today I’m sharing a few tips that will help you look gorgeous in your holiday photos!
The most important part of any good photo is a beautiful smile, but no one will be able to see the joy in your eyes if they spot dull, yellow teeth. To prepare for holiday photos, start brushing your teeth with Colgate® Enamel Health™ Toothpaste every morning and evening. I’ve been using this toothpaste for two months now, and I am beyond impressed with the formulation. This toothpaste helps to replenish the calcium that’s naturally found in your teeth to strengthen your enamel while gently polishing away stains and discoloration. Unlike similar products, this toothpaste can be used every day to keep your teeth pearly white without causing any sensitivity or pain. My teeth look better than ever, and it’s nice knowing that I’m helping my teeth! I love this toothpaste so much that I keep an extra tube in my purse for last-minute touch-ups at events. Trust me, just run to Walgreens and pick up a tube to get the brightest and whitest teeth for the holiday season.
Now that you know my secret to achieving the whitest smile, let’s move on to your skin. Even the tiniest glow can translate as an oily sheen on camera. Finishing your makeup with a matte setting powder will keep your skin looking flawless in photos. Be sure to focus on your T-zone (nose, forehead, chin) as that area tends to produce the most oil!
Flash photography in particular has a tendency to wash out the color in your complexion. Adding a bold lip color is the perfect way to brighten up your look, and red is the perfect choice for the holidays. My holiday lipstick of choice is the CoverGirl lipstick in the color Hot, which also happens to be my girl Taylor’s Swift signature red! You can find this lipstick at Walgreens, and it’s guaranteed to make you look gorgeous in your Christmas photos!
The last step is to add some drama to your eyelashes! Adding an extra few coats of rich, black mascara will enhance your eyes and make them pop on camera. I recommend adding two coats more than you normally would for optimal results. It may seem a bit dramatic for everyday life, but I promise it will not seem over-the-top in photos.
