What’s In My Bag: Coachella Edition
It’s Coachella season, which means it’s time to break out your craziest boho fashions and prepare for long days in the sweltering heat with the world’s greatest musicians! Even though I wasn’t lucky enough to snag a pair of Coachella tickets this year, I’m still planning on attending as many outdoor events this summer as possible. I am also 100% sure that I will be insanely jealous of my friends attending the event, so I’m already preparing my wardrobe for the outdoor music events that I will be attending. My wardrobe is currently filled with flowing dresses, fringed sandals, and crazy sunglasses, and I LOVE it.
In addition to investing in bohemian clothes and accessories, a functional (and cute) bag is a must for any outdoor summer event. If you want to survive long days in 100+ degree summer weather, you need to plan ahead. Today I’m sharing what I pack in my Sakroots bag for outdoor events during the summer!

There’s nothing worth than getting sick or sunburned during a big event, so I like to carry travel-sized versions of sunscreen, anti-bacterial hand gel, and lip balm in my bag at all times during the summer.I also throw in a pair of cute sunglasses and a lightweight scarf to shield my face and hair from the sun. A scarf can serve as a bandana, headband, hair tie, mask, or blanket throughout the day, and the thin design barely takes up any room in your bag! My final purse essentials are a mobile charger and sun-proof snacks. The mobile charger will keep your phone going throughout the day, and the snacks will help you avoid spending an obscene amount of money on concession stand snacks!
For long days in the sun, you’ll want a lightweight bag that has plenty of storage, comfortable straps, and a functional design. I love my new Convertible Backpack from Sakroots because the soft strap can convert the bag from a traditional backpack to a crossbody satchel in seconds.
The Sakroots Smartphone Crossbody in Orchid One World is another good choice if you want a bag that’s even smaller and more lightweight. I love that this compact crossbody bag features a compartment to hold your smartphone, and a zippered pocket that’s perfect for storing your ID, credit cards, a little bit of cash, and any small necessities!Whether you’re headed to a music festival or spending a day at the beach, check out these bags from Sakroots! You’ll receive a free Sakroots Tumbler in the print of your choice when you spend $50 or more and use the promo code SRFestivalFinds at checkout.
