The Girl Who Loses Everything + The Tile App
I’m the girl who always loses everything. I can’t go a day without losing my keys, and my friends sit back and laugh every time we get together because I’m always running around trying to find something. I know what you’re thinking: she must be messy or unorganized. I am a little bit messy most of the time, but that’s not the problem. I misplace things even when my house is pristine, and my items are organized better than The Container Store’s displays. I could be in an empty room and still manage to forget where I placed my cellphone. I’m convinced it’s a genetic trait because my dad is exactly the same way. In fact, I had a running joke with my brother when were kids that if we got in the car to leave at 11:00, we wouldn’t leave until 11:30 because my Dad would forget at least 3 things and have to go back inside. The joke’s on me because I do the same thing now that I’m an adult!
Father’s Day is coming up next week, and I found a gift that’s absolutely perfect for me and my Dad: the Tile App. If you’re never heard of Tile before, you’ve been missing out. It’s a tiny square of magic (aka electronic and coding stuff that I don’t understand) that helps you find all of the things that you tend to lose! I added my Tile to my keychain, but it can easily be attached to your purse, computer, tablet, bike, wallet, or anything valuable that you wouldn’t want to lose.
After you attach your Tile to the item of your choice, you activate it with the coordinating app (available on Android and iPhone). Tile works in three ways: 1. You can use the app to make the Tile ring (within 30-50 feet). 2. You can use the app to see the item on a map, including where the item was last seen. 3. You can enlist the entire Tile community to help you locate the item. If any other person using the apps is within 50 feet of your object, the app will send you a “found” notification with the location!
So basically…my Dad and I will never lose anything ever again. Yep, I’m winning the Daughter of The Year award.
Tile is also tiny. It’s only slightly larger than a quarter, and you can attach it anything with a keyring or with an adhesive sticker.
If you’re a girl who loses things too, Tile might be your new BFF. It also makes a fantastic Father’s Day gift that your Dad is going to absolutely love. From June 14-20, you can get $5 off the 4, 8, or 12 packs with the coupon code TDAN15 on the Tile app website, so I’m planning on buying my Dad a multi-pack because let’s face it…he needs it (and so do I)!
Do you lose things too? What do you think of Tile?
Thanks to Tile for sponsoring today’s post and helping me become the coolest daughter ever!
