The Best Beauty Products of 2013!
It’s that time of year again. It’s my annual post on the best beauty products of the year, and I cannot wait to share my absolute makeup favorite products of 2013! I discovered so many amazing products, and I may have even discovered a few new holy grail products! If you’d like to see my favorites from last year, you can read my Best in Beauty 2012 post!
: I feel like I talk about this primer too often, but it’s honestly just so good. It helps your skin achieve a flawless finish all day long. It’s an absolute necessary for special events.
: I got a sample of this primer earlier in the year, and I instantly fell in love. I love that this eyeshadow and concealer primer provides slight coverage and evens out my skin tone on my eyelids and undereye area in addition to extending the wear of my eye products and concealers.
: This product was featured in my Best Beauty Products of 2012 and endless posts throughout the year. In addition to extending the wear of your makeup, this miracle spray removes any powder-y or cake-y finish to your makeup and gives you a healthy glow.
: This powder is smooth and provides just enough extra coverage. I don’t find that it appears cakey or too powdery over foundation, and it’s extremely affordable.
: This foundation is my everyday secret weapon. It evens out my skintone and conceals most flaws without looking unnatural. I love the medium coverage and the natural finish, plus it seems to keep my oil under control.
: I wore this foundation on my wedding day, so that has to tell you how much I love this product. It provides medium-full coverage with a gorgeous finish that photographs well.
: I had never found a high-end concealer that impressed me enough to justify the high price until I found this NARS concealer. This concealer does a great job at hiding my undereye circles and blends like a dream.
: I use this Maybelline concealer in Radiant in a triangle under my undereye circles to help illuminate the area. It’s creamy, pigmented, and the perfect color to brighten.
: I fell head over heels in love with my Ambient Light Powder palette earlier this year, and it’s one of my favorite parts of my makeup routine. The line has colors that can act as setting powders, brightening powders, highlighting or blush powders, so their is a color for everyone and every purpose!
: Luminoso is my favorite blush of the year. It’s a light but bright shimmery peach that adds a healthy glow to your cheeks and goes with any outfit.
: This bronzer is another two-time Best in Beauty winner, and I’ve been madly in love with this bronzer for years. It’s the perfect natural bronzer with a slight sheen, and I never leave home without it.
CoverGirl TruBlend Fix Stick Concealer: This concealer stick was a drugstore find from my Easy and Affordable Makeup Tutorial. I buy a shade 2-3 shades darker than my skintone and use it after my foundation but before powder or bronzer to contour my cheekbones. It’s so easy and a great price!
: I was lucky enough to receive this product in my Ipsy Benefit party pack over the summer, and I’m so happy that I discovered it. I’ve never been a huge brows girl, but since I’ve been using this product, I’ve noticed a huge difference in how my brows look in photographs. The tinted brow gel leaves your brows groomed and shaped without looking unnatural.
Jordana Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner: This eyeliner is a gamechanger. For less than $3, I am constantly shocked at how amazing this eyeliner is. The felt tip makes winged liner a breeze, and it stays in place all day long.
Jordana Best Lash Extreme: Best mascara ever, and it’s under $4. Go buy it.
Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeliner: This pencil eyeliner is creamy, highly pigmented, and a great value. This line also comes in a variety of amazing colors. I’m a big fan of the black, taupe, and nude shades.
Naked 3 Palette: This palette was one of my favorite makeup purchases of the year. It’s so stunning in person, and the rosey-toned shades are smooth, pigmented, and blend easily. If you’re interested in seeing out if compares to the other Naked palettes, check out my post on the Naked 3 palette.
: As much as I love the Naked3, my heart can’t forget the original Naked palette. It’s an amazing, classic product that everyone needs to own.
: Hue was the first MAC lipstick that I ever bought, and it’s still my favorite. It’s the perfect peachy-pink nude for my skintone, and the glaze formulation creates the perfect shiny finish.
: After admiring Anna Saccone‘s gorgeous pink lips for months, I looked up which lipstick she was using. It turned out to be Rimmel’s Airy Fairy, which is an incredibly easy-to-wear neutral pink. I’ve been using it nonstop ever since, and I’ve already bought a tube for my mom too.
MAC Lipstick in Cremecup: Cremecup is another MAC favorite. It’s such a fun girly pink that isn’t the least bit over the top. Whenever I’m not sure what lipstick I should wear, I almost always put on Cremecup.
Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie: It’s no secret that I’m borderline crazy about Revlon Lip Butters (anyone want to see a collection post?), and this year I found a new favorite shade. Berry Smoothie was my fall and winter go-to lip color. It’s a beautiful light berry with a shiny finish.
MAC Lipglass in Snob: I’ve always wanted to wear MAC’s Snob lipstick, but the blue-based pink is fairly hard to wear. When they came out with a coordinating Snob Lipglass, I thought I’d try it out. I am so happy that I did, because it’s everything that I love about the Snob lipstick but much easier to wear. It looks great on its own and on top of your favorite lipstick.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Pango Peach: When I saw Ingrid buy this gloss, I knew that it had to be added to my collection. The peachy-pink gloss with gold shimmer reminds me of NARS Orgasm blush in lipgloss form, so obviously it’s perfection.
NYX Megashine Lipgloss in Nude Pink: I think I wore this lipgloss nearly every day this summer. It’s a gorgeous light peachy-pink nude gloss that’s perfect on it’s own or with a nude lipliner. To make things even better, it smells like cherry Starbursts!
: I can’t believe that people don’t talk about these lipglosses more online. I featured this shade in my Top Beauty Products Under $5, and I really need to buy the other shades in this line. Nude York is a gorgeous shimmery nude gloss with a great texture and a delicious fragrance.
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue: This polish is a longtime favorite, and I anticipate it being a favorite for years to come. It’s just the perfect bright blue shade, and I wore it on my toes and fingernails nearly every day of the summer. You can’t beat the $3 price tag either.
Wet N Wild Fergie Ferguson Crest Syrah: This polish is a showstopper- the shimmery burgundy with gold shimmer looks incredible on your nails, and the formula is fantastic.
OPI Eurso Euro: I fell hard for fall’s navy trend this year, and this OPI shade is my ideal shade of navy.
Essie Borrowed and Blue: My ultimate spring baby blue. If you don’t own this shade, go ahead and order it immediately. I guarantee it will be a new favorite!
