Summer Style: A Hot Pink Day at The Beach

I shop at Target at least 5x a week. I live in a small town, so all of the cashiers know me and frequently poke fun at my frequent visits. It doesn’t help that I’m always buying strange props for my blog too. Who knows what they think I do with all of my paper straw, placement, and poster board purchases! Despite my notoriety at my local Target, I continue to go back time and time again because everything in the store is just plain adorable and a fabulous value for the money- including the clothing. My latest summer style purchase was this hot pink high-neck halter dress for summer. The quality and construction is amazing for the $24.99 price tag, but it’s an even better deal this week! Right now, Target is offering a buy one, get one 50% off discount on all of their clothing, shoes, and accessories!
While I am a Target girl at heart, I do make investment purchases every now and again. I don’t mind spending money on clothing and accessories, but I want to be able to justify the price with outstanding quality, unique design, and impeccable construction. My Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC bag was absolutely worth every single penny. The Seashell shade matches almost every outfit I wear, and it’s the perfect size for everyday use. Another recent investment purchase that I stand behind is my Tory Burch espadrille wedges. The blue leather detailing adds personality to all of my summer outfits, and they’re some of the most comfortable shoes I own. I’ve already worn them with dresses, shorts, and jeans, and I know they’ll continue to be a favorite for years to come. They’re currently 30% off, but hurry and buy a pair because they’re nearly sold out!

I took a road trip with Michelle from Mash Elle to Cape Coral, Florida, and we had the pleasure of meeting up with the beautiful and charming Megan from Lush to Blush! Megan also brought her BFF Megan, and we had an amazing waterside lunch in Cape Coral. It’s always fun to meet other bloggers, but both Megans were my type of girls- kind, genuine, and laid-back! Michelle and I stayed overnight to enjoy the beautiful area a little bit longer, and we headed to the nearby Ft. Myers beach the next morning. While it did rain for most of the day, spending the day at the beach was exactly what we needed. We did get a few…ok a lot…of strange looks wearing a full-face of makeup on the beach, but hey- sometimes you have to make a fool out of yourself to get a good blog shot!
