sephora friends and family sale suggestions
Sephora’s annual friends and family sale (aka the best week of the year) is starting on October 18th, 2012, and they will be offering 20% off your entire purchase with no exceptions! I always tried to hold out to buy big ticket items and Christmas gifts during this time to take advantage of the savings. As always, be sure to check out Sephora’s weekly specials to also get some fun samples with your purchase! Here are a few of my top picks for the sale!
: I bought this palette as soon as it came out and literally didn’t use anything else until it vanished one day. I’m pretty sure I lost it sometime during my honeymoon, but no worries because I recently ordered a replacement!
: Honestly both Naked palettes are life changing and will practically replace all of your other eyeshadow palettes. They are so easy for everyday, and the quality of the shadows is incredible. If you’re debating between the two, Naked is more warm-toned with bronzes and browns while Naked2 has slightly cooler shades and features more taupes. They’re similar, but I have both and don’t regret it a bit!
Too Faced Return of Sexy Palette: If you are a fan of shimmery eyeshadows, please go run and buy this palette. Online it looks pretty, but in person it is stunning. The people in Sephora probably thought I was crazy staring at the swatches on my hand, but the colors are incredible and super glamorous.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer I’m a huge fan of Laura Mercier’s face products, and her tinted moisturizer is one of my favorites. It provides natural-looking light to medium coverage and covers and minor imperfections. It also comes in a and anversion. I wore theversion on my honeymoon, and it provides the most gorgeous luminous glow.
: My holy grail bronzer. Simply the best. I’ve tried so many times to find a cheaper alternative, but honestly nothing else compares.
Christian Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara: While I love my trusty Maybelline mascaras, it’s nice to have one or two tubes of fancy mascaras for special occasions or nights out. This new version of the Diorshow line is incredible for creating thick, lengthened, and volumized lashes. It’s a dramatic look without going overboard, and there is very little clumping
: This eyeliner is the beauty product you never knew you needed, but once you have it, you wonder how you ever survived without it. The creamy nude color is incredible for the waterline to perk up your eyes and make you look instantly more awake.
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation: If you’re getting photographs taken or have a special event coming up, I highly recommend this foundation. It provides medium to full coverage while still managing to look natural. It’s light and doesn’t feel like you have a mask on your face!
: If you’re looking for a fun splurge item, this spray is what you need. It’s half toner/half serum, and it’s incredible for freshening up throughout the day.
: If you want super dramatic eyelashes that look like you’re wearing false lashes, this mascara is for you. It’s not natural looking at all, but I have never found a mascara that comes close to its effect.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: I love the Skindinavia setting sprays, and Urban Decay’s line of setting sprays is made by Skindinavia. Incredible stuff. It will drastically increase the amount of time your makeup lasts each day.
Tarte Carried Away Set: This gift set is really an awesome deal. All of Tarte’s products are exceptional quality, and I love the color variety and packaging in this set!
Tarte Rising Star Palette: A perfect birthday gift or palette for your purse. So many great eyeshadows, two blushes, a highlighter, and my favorite bronzer (Park Ave Princess)
Clarisonic Mia Josie Maran Value Set: If you’ve been thinking about buying a Clarisonic Mia, now is the time. Not only will you save 20% with the sale, but this kit also includes several Josie Maran products for free! If you already have a Clarisonic, it’s a great time to stock up and save on.
What products are you thinking about picking up from the sale? Let me know if there’s anything I should take a look at!
