New Products from CoverGirl, Vidal Sassoon, Puffs, Crest & Olay! {Makeup, Hair, Body & Hair Care}
I am one of those girls that always wants to try out new things. Don’t get me wrong- I am loyal to my favorite brands/products, but I just can’t resist the new product displays each season. Imagine my delight when I got an email from Vocalpoint (it’s completely free, and you should join!) letting me know that I had been chosen to receive a huge shipment of P&G’s new products to play around with and share with my friends and family. Um…can you say jackpot?
I thought I’d get a little box of itty bitty samples to share, but NOPE…a thirty pound box showed up on my doorstop, and my little heart screamed with delight. I divided the products into goody bags and handed them out to friends and family at my party. Needless to say, I was pretty popular that day.
I’ve using these products for weeks now, so I thought I’d share my thoughts with you guys!
are lipstick duos that come with two lipstick shades than can be used separately or together. I received the shade Intense, which features a frosty pale rose gold (top swatch) and a deep berry shade (middle) that can also be combined to create a shimmery and slightly frosty berry color (bottom swatch). I would personally only wear the rose gold shade as a highlight for the middle of my bottom lip as it’s a bit too frosty in my opinion to be worn all over the lips. The berry is actually a beautiful color for fall/winter, though! The formula was ok and not too drying but not terribly long-lasting.
Believe it or not, this self-proclaimed mascara addict had never tried a Covergirl mascara until now! Covergirl Clump Crusher LashBlast Mascara features a rubber bristle wand that is very clump-resistant. I was really surprised that I could add three coats of this product to my eyelashes with little to no clumping. This mascara was extremely separating and provided good volume to my lashes, but I still feel the need to pair it with a lengthening mascara to get the effect that I prefer. I love combining this mascara with my new favorite, Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara to separate my lashes and get rid of clumps!
Covergirl recently came out with a new line of nail polishes, the , and they’re fab. I love the color range, and I find the formula and brush shape to be comparable to Essie. I was sent Forever Frosted (frosty champagne), and I loved it so much that I went to pick up Snow Storm (crisp white) the next day. Both polishes went opaque in two coats, and had really great staying power.
was a pretty good toothpaste with a nice flavor, but I never really buy into the crazy claims that whitening toothpastes make. My teeth stayed about the same shade as they normally are, but it seems like a decent toothpaste.
The and were a bit blah for me. I really need an extremely moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and I think this line is better suited for normal hair. The Extra Firm Hold Hairspray definitely has great hold, but it makes your hair a little bit crispy. I’ve been using this hairspray to control my bun for my ballet classes, but it’s way too strong for every day use.
Have you tried any new products lately? Let me know if there’s any new products I need to pick up, or if you tried out the products I reviewed up let me know what your opinions! Happy Friday!

Snow Storm Forever Frosted
I have kept these in my purse, and I love them for on-the-go makeup touch-ups. I LOVE the way the makes my skin feel. It is incredibly moisturizing and has the consistency of a lotion. I really hope this body wash comes in other scents. As much as I love the formulation, I’m just not crazy about the scent. Thankfully, the scent doesn’t linger on your skin, so I still used my entire sample. is a good deodorant, but I really prefer the citrus scent in the line that I tried a few months ago.

Ok, so you guys know that I’m a never-ending search for anti-aging products that don’t make look like a greaseball. Well, Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is a definite hit. I love using this product on my forehead, neck, and dry spots around my face. I avoid putting this moisturizer on my T-zone to prevent getting too oily, but I really love the light feel of this moisturizer. I’ll keep you posted as I continue to use this product in my daily routine.
is an interesting concept. First of all, the eye cream is fantastic. It’s light and has a very slight iridescence that helps to brighten the undereye. I’ve been using this eye cream in the mornings as it doesn’t make my undereye concealer breakup throughout the day. The lash serum on the other hand is just blah. I feel like it’s just a lash moisturizer and not a lash growth serum.
