Natural Skin Care Products That Actually Work
Today I’m sharing my favorite natural skin care products!

When I first got pregnant, my skin took a strange turn. It seemed like my skin transformed from normal to dry to extremely dry within a week, and I honestly wasn’t quite sure which skin care products to use. Even though my skin’s natural oils seemed to dry up overnight, I still had a few spots of mild acne flare up, and those also seemed impossible to treat. After all, how do you get rid of breakouts (even mild ones) when your skin is dry and irritated? Especially when you’re pregnant and aren’t able to use any of the traditional anti-acne products containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide?
Thankfully, my good friend Erin sent me a message at the height of my skincare issues back in March. She works for in Orlando, and they specialize in usually all natural products. Instead of overloading the skin with harsh chemicals, T Secret believes in a natural three-step approach to skincare: regular extraction facials, lifestyle and diet changes, and designed to clear pores and alleviate inflammation. When she asked me if I’d like to come in to try their facials and skin care products, I jumped at the opportunity because I was desperate to find pregnancy-friendly skin care that would treat my dry skin and mild acne at the same time without leaving my skin red and irritated. Plus, the featured on their website (scroll toward the bottom of the page) are incredibly impressive!
I’ll be sharing all of my thoughts on anti-acne extraction facials as well as a few tips I learned from Erin in tomorrow’s post, but today I wanted to share a few pregnancy-friendly Tamahra’s Secret skin care products from that you’re going to love. They’re locally-made and feature soothing but potent natural ingredients. These don’t contain any chemical preservatives, emulsifiers, parabens, artifical colors, or perfumes, and they’re specifically designed to bring your skin into a natural balance. I started using them in March, and they truly helped my skin recover to a more normal state over the next few months. If you’ve been searching for natural skin care products for normal to dry skin with acne that actually work, keep reading!
Natural Skin Care Products for Normal to Dry Skin
Step One: Prep Skin and Restore Proper pH Balance

After my acne facial with Erin, she was able to recommend a few natural skin care products to help maintain my results. The first and most highly recommend product on the list was the , which is a mineral spray containing ionized acidic water and a variety of essential oils and minerals to help maintain your skin’s pH balance as well as fighting bacteria. Unlike other facial sprays, the Ionic Spritzer is actually used in place of water throughout your skin care routine to guarantee that your skin stays at the proper pH level. This product is used morning and night to wet the skin (12-14 sprays) before cleanser and to help your moisturizer glide on effortlessly (additional 8-10 sprays). I’ll share both uses below in more detail, but let me tell you, this product is truly awesome.
In fact, I used it so much that it was the very first product that I ran out of in this natural skin care set! Thankfully, you can purchase a refill bottle of the for an extremely affordable price. I have a few other skin care products to use up at the moment, but I will definitely be purchasing the refill bottle in the near future! Unlike other facial sprays I’ve used in the past, features ingredients that are actually doing something for your skin. I find it to be extremely calming on my skin, and in addition to using it with oil-based cleansers and concentrated moisturizers, I’ve loved using it as a cooling refresher spray whenever my skin feels dry, tight, or irritated.
Step Two: Remove Makeup & Impurities with A Natural Cleansing Oil

It’s not a secret that I’m a huge fan of oil-based cleansers, and the is a fabulous option for normal, dry, and sensitive skin types. It contains all natural ingredients like carrot seed oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, calendula, oil, grapefruit seed extract, and more to gently remove makeup, dirt, and impurities from your skin. To apply this product, I simply rip off a 6-8″ piece of, fold it into thirds, and gently shake the cleanser onto the cotton pad until it is soaked through all three layers. Be sure to shake this bi-phase cleanser thoroughly before applying it to the cotton pad. Once your cotton pad is sufficiently coated in product, spritz your face 12-14 times with , and gently wipe away all of the makeup and dirt on your face. The genius thing about using the cotton wraps as opposed to a traditional pad is that you get six clean sides to use. As each side gets coated in dirt and makeup, simply switch to another clean side.
If you’re looking for an all-in-one facial cleanser and makeup remover, you will love this . It removes every last speck of your makeup, including the most stubborn mascara, without irritating your skin. I love that this natural cleanser uses nourishing oils in place of harsh detergents, and it’s amazing how long this one bottle can last! I used it nearly every day morning and night for several months, and I still have about half a bottle left! While it may seem mind-boggling to use a cleanser without rinsing with water, the Ionic Spritzer and Carrot Cleanser combo truly does a fabulous job at removing makeup and cleansing your skin. If you’re not a fan of leaving oil on your skin, take a shower after cleansing to wipe away excess product and allow the product to soak into your skin.
Step Three: Add Moisture and SPF Protection

Did you know that most over-the-counter moisturizers contain a high percentage of water? That’s right, you’re paying big bucks for moisturizing ingredients diluted with water. At T Secret Spa, they sell their moisturizers completely un-diluted, so that you’re only paying for the therapeutic ingredients in the products and not the water. Because their moisturizers are highly concentrated, you’ll want to dilute them yourself with the . After my , Erin recommended that I use the day cream each morning after cleansing my skin. At first, I thought the tiny pot of product would only last me a few days, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! You only need to use a pea-sized amount of product to cover your entire face and neck, and I add 8-10 sprays of the Ionic Spritzer to help the product glide effortlessly onto my skin.
In addition to being a fabulous lightweight day cream that fights signs of pre-mature again with jojoba oil, shea butter, aloe, sea buckthorne oil, carrot seed oil, and lots of good-for-you natural ingredients, this moisturizer also features a mineral sunscreen with SPF 23 protection. The light texture of this product makes it a perfect daytime moisturizer to wear on its own or underneath your makeup. Plus, even a small container of this product will last you a long time. I used this tiny pot for several months before it ran out!
Step Four: Treat Wrinkles, Inflammation & Dry Skin with Facial Oil

I know that I’m kind of gushing over each product (I can’t help it – they’re great!), but this product is truly one of my favorites from the collection. The is a moisturizing treatment oil that provides deep hydration while promoting rapid healing of the skin. It’s great for all skin types, and this miracle product contains antioxidants and essential fatty acids to corrects wrinkles, dry skin, hyperpigmentation, and inflammation. The mix of camellia oil, rosehip seed oil, borage seed oil, and sea buckthorne oil makes your skin come back to life after a long day!
In the routine that Erin recommended to me, I used a few drops of this oil in the evening along with 8-10 sprays of the Tamahra’s Secret Ionic Spritzer; however, I’ve also had good luck mixing a few drops of this product into the day cream and even my foundation on days when my skin seems dryer than normal. As I mentioned with the day cream, this moisturizing product features only moisturizing ingredients, so you’re paying for results – not water to dilute the product. If you’re looking for a beautiful facial oil, you’re gonna love the Huile Rejennisse.
Step Five: Fight Acne and Clear Your Pores with A Lightweight Mask

One thing in particular that sets T Secret Spa’s natural skin care routine apart from other is its use of daily treatment masks. Instead of using harsh masks on a weekly basis, T Secret Spa recommends using a milder mask every single night to absorb impurities from your skin without leaving it dry or irritated. is the recommended nightly treatment mask for normal to dry skin, and it’s great for keeping your skin regulated and renewed. Even when you sleep in the mask overnight, your skin won’t feel dried out. While it’s great for your facial skin, I’ve also had good luck using on my back if acne ever pops up!

If you’re on the hunt for effective natural skin care products, I highly recommend that you check out T Secret Spa in Orlando. Their collection of locally-made natural skin care is amazing, and the entire staff is extremely knowledgable about which products will be best for you and your skin concerns. If you’re in the Orlando area or planning a vacation to Central Florida, I’d suggest treating yourself to an acne facial followed by a skin care consultation where you can find which products will be the perfect fit for your skin. If that’s not an option, I recommend calling and asking for a phone consultation with one of their estheticians. That way, you can determine which products are going to be most effective for your skin type before making a purchase. All of their products are available online for purchase, so you’ll be able to have them quickly shipped to your doorstep no matter where you live!
