My Kitchen Mini-Makeover with Delta Faucet {Part 3}
As you know, I’ve been implementing a bit of a kitchen mini-makeover over the past month with the help of Delta Touch2O. While I’m still planning on adding many of the design touches featured in my design inspiration post, I’m adding things slowly over time to make the process easy on my schedule and budget. While I’m still working on the walls and accessories, I am so happy that the centerpiece of my makeover- my brand new Delta Touch2O faucet- has been installed!
It’s amazing how one piece can change the entire feel of a room and provide such a wow factor. I cannot even tell you how many friends and family members have complimented the look of the faucet and then proceeded to play with the cool technology for another five minutes. I went to a birthday party last night, and three different people who attended were telling others how cool my faucet is. Seriously, the Delta Touch2O faucets give your home a little bit of swag.
Before:
Before, our kitchen faucet was old and ugly. Our open kitchen leads to the living room, and it just didn’t add anything to the space or match the existing decor. In addition to being ugly, the faucet functioned horribly. Not only would the water stream spray in every direction, but the faucet’s short stature made it difficult to wash large pots and pans in the sink.
After:
Our new Delta Touch2O Cassidy faucet has a modern and graceful design that adds character to our kitchen while seamlessly blending in with the existing design. The higher profile of the faucet adds a great design element to our open kitchen while also being much more functional. Since the faucet has a taller design, it is so much easier to wash larger pans in the sink.
After seeing the before and after pictures, I’m not sure how we lived with our faucet for so long. The difference in aesthetic appeal and functional technology is incredible.
While I love the look of my brand new faucet, I am even more in love with the cool features. The Delta Faucet Touch2O technology allows you to turn the stream of water off and on with a slight tap on the faucet. That means when you have your hands full with dirty pots or your hands are filthy from mixing up dough by hand, you don’t have to try to clumsily turn the faucet’s handle with your elbows or the one finger you have free. Simply tap the faucet with any free part of your body, and you have water!
The Touch2O technology has made cooking, cleaning, and entertaining in my kitchen so much easier and more efficient. In addition, it’s easier to control how much water I’m using. When I’m washing the dishes, I can easily turn the water on and off with my elbow- even while holding a dirty pot and a scrub brush in my hands. When I’m filling up a pot of water, I no longer waste water by letting the stream continue until I put the pot on the stove. Little changes like this add up to a big difference in efficiency and savings in time and money over the course of the year!
I sound like a little kid saying this, but it’s really so much fun to turn the water on and off. If you’ve never seen the technology in person, take a look at this Delta Touch2O video!
