How to Get A Salon-Quality Blowout At Home in Less TimeAs you might’ve guessed, I’m kind of obsessed with the Revlon Salon Hair Dryer and Volumizer. After using the pink version every single time I styled my hair for months and months, I just picked up the new teal version that’s exclusive to Target. I knew that I finally needed to share my favorite beauty secret with all of you. This product is a game changer for achieving a salon blowout at home. It allows me to blow dry and volumize my hair in one easy step while cutting my styling time in half! I’ve already given this hair tool to several loved ones as a gift, and every single person has fallen in love and ditched their normal blow drying routine. It’s honestly THAT good.
Now before we move on to the tutorial, let me mention that I was extremely skeptical about the Revlon One-Step Volumizer when I purchased it last year. I tend to be clumsy with hair tools, and I just didn’t believe it would live up to the hype. I’m here nearly a year later saying loudly that I was totally wrong. The lightweight brush is extremely easy to use, and the oval shape of the brush helps to create frizz-free volume at the roots curl under the ends of your hair in one simple motion. Seriously, you’re going to LOVE this hair tool for creating a salon blowout at home! Keep reading to see a step-by-step tutorial of how I use it to blow dry my hair along with a video tutorial.
How to Use The Revlon Salon Hair Dryer and Volumizer
STEP 1: Wash and dry your hair as normal and apply your favorite styling products. Use a hair brush to detangle your hair, and if possible, allow your hair to air dry until it’s about 75% dry. Note: This isn’t necessary for the Revlon One-Step Volumizer to work, but it will absolutely reduce damage to your hair over time and allow you to speed up your hair care routine!
STEP 2: Section your hair as you normally would before blowdrying. As you’ll see in the video, I prefer to blow dry in two sections. Then you’ll want to take a small piece of hair and place the Revlon One-Step Volumizer underneath the base of your roots.
STEP 3: Slowly pull the Revlon One-Step Volumizer down the length of your hair using two hands to hold the tool.
STEP 4: As you reach the ends of your hair, gently curl under your hair by twisting the Revlon One-Step Volumizer down and and pulling it towards your head. Release the section of your hair and repeat Steps 2-4 on all of your hair.
STEP 5: Once your hair is completely dry, go back and use the Revlon One-Step Volumizer to brush the hair on the top of your head straight into the sky. This builds volume where you need it. Again, be sure to use small sections of hair at a time for the best results.
And that’s it! It’s really so simple to get a salon blowout at home in less time, and I think you will be shocked at how intuitive the movements are once you try out the Revlon One-Step Volumizer. As much as I love the finished look, I am completely blown away that this hair tool doesn’t tangle my hair. I have extremely long, damaged, and easily-tangled hair. My hair normally gets terribly tangled when I blow dry with a round brush and hair dryer, but I’ve NEVER had that problem with the Revlon One-Step Volumizer in nearly a year! It glides through easily, and my hair is silky smooth once it’s dry.
I’ve posted my hair routine on my blog several times throughout the years, and I can honestly say that I have had the best results and best experience using the Revlon One-Step Volumizer. It makes styling my hair so quick and easy, and I love that my hair is voluminous and shiny after each use. I used to have to run through my hair with a curling iron or flat iron to reduce frizz and create a salon-quality finish after blow drying, but now, I can easily walk out the door with confidence after only using the Revlon One-Step Volumizer. If I’m adding curls or another style, it’s just for fun – not a necessity to hide my frizzy hair!
