The Luggage Room Avocado Festival Pizza: OMG. This pizza is ridiculously amazing, and fortunately (for my tastebuds) and unfortunately (for my wallet), The Luggage Room is within walking distance of our apartment. Yes, I am a cliche California resident, and I put avocado on absolutely everything. If you live anywhere near Old Town Pasadena or don’t mind driving, go to Luggage Room immediately- and invite me 🙂
My Husband: Ok, so my husband is ALWAYS one of my favorites, but I have been extra proud of him lately. He was the first student in his optometry class to become a published researcher in a respected optometry journal, but he also had the opportunity to be one of the few students to present his research at the American Optometric Assocation’s annual conference in Phoenix! Like I mentioned in this post, my super smart Ryan is attempting to win a Transitions Optical scholarship (medical school is $$$$), and you can help him get to the finals by simply clicking the thumbs up/like button on his YouTube video {here}. I think he’s already in the lead, but more likes definitely doesn’t hurt! THANK YOU in advance! I also realize this photo doesn’t show his optometry skills at all haha, but I just happen to like this picture that I took of him 🙂
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup Foundation*: I am pretty faithful to my beloved full-coverage Revlon Colorstay foundation, but I also don’t really like wearing full-on, heavy makeup everyday. I’ve really been liking the medium level of coverage with a glowy finish this foundation provides on days when I don’t need to get super dolled up. It’s lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. I also love that this foundation comes in a great color range, so I think most people will be able to find a decent match. I’ll do a full review + makeup look with this line if you’re interested!Â
Home Alone 2: I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but I’m already in full-on Christmas mode. That means the holiday movie marathons have begun in the Nicholas household. My friends and I are HUGE Home Alone fans, and we probably quote the first and second movies almost daily. Spoiler alert: my friends and I are huge nerds awesome. Home Alone obviously gets a lot of love around the holidays (which it deserves- definitely in my top 10 of all time!), but I feel like people don’t give Home Alone 2 enough credit. It is HILARIOUS, and I may have already watched it two times this month. This screenshot is from one of my favorite scenes (see a clip here), but my absolute favorite scene from the movie is here. I dare you not to laugh!
Diddy Riese: Without question, Diddy Riese has been one of my greatest discoveries since moving to LA. It’s a little ice cream shop next to the UCLA campus that sells three things: cookies, ice cream or both put together into an ice cream sandwich. It’s absolutely genius, and a huge ice cream sandwich is only $1.75! There is ALWAYS a huge line winding out the door, but the wait goes by quickly because of the small menu. I’ve tried all different cookie/ice cream flavor combination, but my current favorite is White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies with strawberry ice cream!
BzzAgent: I’ve talked about BzzAgent a million times before, but honestly…you just need to join. I’ve gotten so many fun opportunities to test products through them, and there is literally no downside to the program. It’s free to join, easy to use, and the products are brands that I love.
