After a few weeks of around-the-clock appointments and errands, I finally had a chance to relax with my husband this week. It’s amazing how luxurious it feels to wake up and know that you have nothing scheduled that day. We spent a few days visiting with one of our best friends in Pasadena who lives only a few blocks away from our old apartment, so we just had to visit all our favorite spots in the area. To be honest, the highlight of my day was sleeping in, but picking up macarons at Lette and pizza at Blaze made me a very happy girl. Old Town Pasadena’s charming streets do not disappoint. Every sidewalk is filled with cute shops and sweet gardens blooming with bright colors. Combine the beautiful walkways with the amazing weather, and you have the recipe for the perfect afternoon walk. I found myself strolling around town each afternoon to catch the west coast sunset.
