summer whites

I haven’t had a girly shopping day in far too long. When I found out that my favorite Canadian (and favorite cousin) just happened to be within five miles of my apartment, I threw on my favorite new dress and ran out the door to meet her. I went on a bit of a shopping spree ($7- big spender over here!), but I mainly just enjoyed walking around in the beautiful weather and catching up on life with one of my best friends. It’s amazing how a little girly chit-chat, a $3 pair of earrings, an iced tea lemonade, and a stroll around the mall can boost your mood.

Michelle is gorgeous and extremely stylish, so I had to bring my fashion A-game.  I’m all about white for summer- especially white pieces that feature contrasting embroidery. White clothing instantly brightens up your complexion and shows off your summer tan, and it matches with everything in your closet. I added nude sandals, gold jewelry, and nude lips to keep the look casual and fresh.

As much as I love my dress, sometimes it’s hard to be confident in a tight white dress as girl. Especially when you’re in the middle of…lady problems. I do not want to ruin an afternoon with friends by worrying about embarrassing accidents. Thankfully I went to Walmart (bargain-ista move!) earlier this week to stock up on the essentials: an obscene amount of chocolate (non-negotiable), nail polish, and my favorite U by Kotex products. Even though I have about 100, my hair ties always disappear, so I was so happy to see that Walmart is offering a free bonus 3-pack of Goody ribbon ties with any U by Kotex Sleek tampons or Cleanwear pads in select stores while supplies last. Walmart and U by Kotex know the way to a girl’s heart: cute stuff that is free. Thanks to my purchases, I was accident-free and completely confident in my tight white dress.
