Ladies, it’s official. We finally closed on a house after months of searching, and we are finishing our move by this weekend. When we first started the process, my husband and I thought we were looking for a house for the next 1-3 years maximum. Now that we’re almost finished, I think I’d be happy if we never moved again haha! I finally understand why people stay in their homes for 30+ years. The process is long and annoying and expensive, and I am so, so happy to be at the tail end of the process. Thankfully, my amazing father is a realtor, so he was able to help us out every step of the way.

Now that we’re approaching the finish line, get ready to see quite a bit of home content on the blog over the next few months. I couldn’t be more excited to decorate our space and make the house into a home – especially our baby girl’s room! Ok, I’ll stop rambling about the move and get on to more pressing events – like Memorial Day weekend, sales, and why I think every woman needs this Express off-the-shoulder dress for summer.

I am eternally grateful for the sacrifices that our veterans have made for our country, and I’ll be spending quite a bit of time this weekend reflecting on the honor and bravery of this nation’s fallen heroes. I can’t wait to enjoy the weekend with friends and family (even if it’s in between carrying boxes and furniture into our new home), and I hope that each and every one of you has a chance to relax with your loved ones in the sunshine.

I’ve only owned this off the shoulder dress for a month, and I’ve already worn it at least a dozen times. It keeps you cool in the summer heat, and it can be dressed up or dressed down. Plus, this non-maternity dress also works for the mommies-to-be! I’m still rocking it at 6 months pregnant, and I think it might work for my third trimester as well.
