The White Lace Dress You Need This Season

Between finding a new home, my Dad’s wedding, a family medical emergency, and actually moving, I’ve barely had time to think – let alone get any work done. Now that things have finally settled down, I’m back to my normal work schedule. I never thought I’d say these words, but I’m actually thrilled to work long hours over the next few days. After being surrounded by moving boxes and literally scrubbing our old apartment’s floors on my hands and knees a la Cinderella, the thought of editing pictures at my desk sounds like heaven! As soon as I got back to work, I knew that my next post had to feature this pretty .
I’m a sucker for anything that contains lace or a fit-and-flare silhouette, so as I soon as I saw the , I knew it needed to find its way into my closet. I’ll be completely honest with you guys. When I received the dress in the mail, I originally thought I’d need to return it. It came in two pieces – the lace exterior and a stretchy white slip, and it looked about two sizes too small for me. I was underwhelmed to say the least, but I decided to go ahead and try it on just for kicks. And then the magic happened. The white slip that looked way too small actually fit like a glove, and the lace exterior really started to shine once it was layered over the slip. This dress is really nothing to talk about on the hanger, but it looks SO cute when it’s on your body! 
One thing that’s never disappointed me? Banana Republic shoes. I’m currently on my fourth pair, and I’m completely hooked. They’re high-quality, ultra-comfortable, and they’re almost always on sale! The are my latest purchase, and I think the light pink patent leather and ankle straps look darling with my new white lace dress. Plus, they’re in three different colors.
