Boca Raton Resort
Last year I had the amazing opportunity to stay at the Boca Raton Resort and Club with my blogger friends Kristin from Living in Color Print and April from April Golightly thanks to Discover The Palm Beaches. While I’ve posted about the trip obsessively on social media and written several blog posts featuring the resort (read my other posts here, here, and here), I just realized that I’d never actually written a thorough overview of the resort. As if you couldn’t tell from my glowing reviews in my previous posts, the Boca Raton Resort and Club is AH-MAZING! Yes, amazing in all capital letters with an extended pronunciation. It’s that good. Today I’m sharing all of my favorite details about the resort, and I’m going to apologize in advance for tempting you to spend all of your money on a trip to Boca Raton!
Boca Raton Resort and Club
As I pulled through the gates of the Boca Resort, my face literally turned into a heart eyes emoji. The pink exterior, majestic palms, and bright blue skies are simply stunning, and I found myself walking two steps at a time because I kept having to stop and take more photos.
And if the gorgeous entrance wasn’t enough to make my heart start fluttering, the interior decor made my jaw drop. Bright light streamed in from every angle, and there were intricate details everywhere I looked. The decor is classically beautiful and 100% Boca Raton.
As you can see, this resort was made for Instagram. Every room is more beautiful than the last, and there are so. many. rooms. I stayed at the resort for three days, and I still didn’t get a chance to explore every inch of the grounds. No matter what your preferences may be, there’s is a show-stopping room waiting for you somewhere in the expansive Boca Raton Resort.
The resort’s outdoor areas are just as impressive as the interior’s decor. Around every corner, you’ll find intimate garden settings filled with lush palm trees and scenic views. I realize that I’m starting to sound like an infomercial, but trust me, it’s honestly that beautiful. Since my trip, I’ve gone back to the resort with my husband and Stephanie, and they were just as mesmerized by the resort as I was. It’s truly a spectacular place.
Whether you want to take an evening stroll, enjoy the Florida sunshine, or catch up on a new book, there is a pretty alcove, garden, or outdoor area waiting for you.
And of course, there’s an adorable pool area. As usual, I was mainly interested in eating while I was by the pool (sad, but true), and I completely forgot to snap a photo of the crystal clear pool; however, I hope these photos will show that there’s a wide range of comfortable seating options in and out of the shade. There’s also a FlowRider (it lights up at night!) where you can surf the “waves!”
Boca Beach Club
While the Boca Raton Resort’s pool is lovely, you can also take a free shuttle across the street to its sister resort, the Boca Beach Club, to spend the day by the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful in its own right and features several great restaurants, but the pool and beach access can’t be beat.
April, Kristin, and I got the chance to paddleboard outside the hotel, and you can also take surfing lessons if you’re a little more daring. After an hour on the water, we relaxed in the Boca Beach Club’s shaded beach lounges, and I honestly could’ve stayed in that exact spot all day long.
The Boca Raton Resort has more than enough amenities to fill your vacation, but you can think of the Boca Beach Club as a bonus feature! It’s a beautiful place and every bit as luxurious as its sister resort.
And now onto the important details: the rooms. My room at the Boca Raton Resort was classy and comfortable. I spent most of my time exploring the resort and its surrounding areas, but it was so lovely to fall into this cozy bed each evening.
You’ll also receive top-notch service in your room. If you’re worn-out from a day at the beach, I think you’re going to be very impressed with the wide variety of in-room dining and snack options.
Waldorf Astoria Spa at the Boca Raton Resort
If you’re more of a spa day kind of girl, you will fall head over heels for the Waldorf Astoria Spa at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The quiet ambiance and glamorous decor are one-of-a-kind, and the spa services honestly can’t be beat.
Upon entering the spa, the girls and I received plush robes to wear, and we were ushered into a sauna. We relaxed and honestly got into a little bit of trouble in the sauna (we’re all chatterboxes and didn’t realize we weren’t supposed to be talking- oops!), and then we were able to unwind with infused water before changing into our swimsuits for our next treatment. As I stepped into the Ritual Bath, I realized that I had walked into a picture that I’d had in my mind for days.
Back story: A few days before my trip, I found a picture on Pinterest for what I considered to be the world’s most beautiful spa. I pinned it to board and thought to myself, “I’m going to find a way to go there one day.” In my mind, I envisioned this dream spa would be in a far off land, and that I may or may not ever visit such an incredible place. As I walked into the Ritual Bath, I realized that I was in the exact spot that I had just pinned. To say that I had goosebumps would be an understatement. I nearly started crying and said a quick prayer of thanks that I had received such an incredible opportunity!
The Ritual Bath started with a soak in a private stall filled with aromatic bubbles, and then we moved to a large, communal jacuzzi to wait for the next two stations. For the second part of the Ritual Bath, we moved into individual plunge pool stalls. After stepping down into the stall, a concentrated stream of water massages your upper and lower back. For the final step, we moved into individual Swiss showers, where dozens of streams of water massage and exfoliate your skin. The Ritual Bath is unlike any other spa treatment I’ve had before, and it’s an extremely relaxing way to begin your day at the spa.
After leaving the Ritual Spa, we moved into this stunning room to wait for our massage appointments. Like all of the rooms in the spa, the atmosphere is luxurious, relaxing, and absolutely beautiful. My massage did not disappoint, and all of the tension from the previous few days melted away. I left the spa on cloud nine and felt like I was floating for at least the next few hours.
In addition to their world-class services, the spa also offers a private pool area specifically for spa guests. If you’re planning a stay at the Boca Raton Resort, DEFINITELY book an appointment at the spa. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!
The resort also has an on-site salon, and the skilled stylists helped April, Kristin, and I tame our wild hair before dinner. After a day filled with spa treatments, paddleboarding, and 95-degree weather, my hair was a greasy mess; however, my stylist made a hair miracle happen! After a short appointment, I left with a chic braid. I normally don’t visit on-site salons at hotels, but my experience at the Boca Raton has definitely made me rethink this policy. It was so nice to sit back and relax after a long day in the sun!
Palm Court
And now onto the restaurants! The Palm Court serves a fabulous breakfast buffet in the mornings, and it transforms into a casual bar each afternoon and evening. The bright and airy scenery is the perfect place to enjoy a casual drink or meal.
I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at The Palm Court. In addition to the normal breakfast offerings, the buffet featured specialty juices, a wide variety of tropical fruit, and build-your-own yogurt and oatmeal stations. I was really pleased to see such a wide variety of high-end items, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious.
Shaka Bar & Grill
The Shaka Bar & Grill is a relaxed restaurant by the pool that offers casual options for lunch. The beachy vibe, yummy menu, and pool view make this restaurant a real winner.
I sampled the guacamole with chips (obviously), ceviche, and the Bang Tao Crispy Rock Shrimp Tacos. All three items were the perfect fit for the hot summer weather, and I’d definitely order them again!
The Blue
If you’re in the mood for a meal with a view, The Blue is a great choice. This restaurant and bar is on the 27th floor of the Boca Raton Resort’s tower and overlooks an immaculate golf course and bright blue water.
We took advantage of “7 till 7” promotion at The Blue, which features discounted cocktails and bar bites. We sampled the fried pickles and meatballs, and both plates were scraped clean in seconds. The Blue is a fantastic spot to enjoy the sunset with creative drinks and high-end bar appetizers.
Bar Luna
Bar Luna is off to the side of The Palm Court and features a modern, Italian-influenced menu. Every seat is surrounded by hundreds of bottles of wine artfully displayed on the wall, and the drinks and appetizers offered are superb.
Our group split the Whipped Ricotta Dolce and Artichoke Fonduta, and we would have gone for seconds of both appetizers if we weren’t headed to dinner. Really yummy!
Lucca
Lucca is an upscale Italian restaurant with Tuscan influences. The interior features dramatically high ceilings and the soft glow of candles. It’s a luxurious spot that’s perfect for a romantic dinner.
Every single bite of food that we ate at Lucca was sublime. Please excuse the poorly-lit iPhone photos because they do not do justice to the gorgeous presentation of each dish. For appetizers, our group split the Seasonal Verdure and Prosciutto San Danielle, and we were blown away by the unique taste and texture of each item. For my main course, I tried the Penne Bolognese and Sweet Corn and Leek Fonduta, and each bit was heavenly. In addition to amazing food, Lucca offers stellar service. Our waiter was top-notch and made us feel comfortable all evening.
Serendipity
If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, Serendipity is the place to go. Inspired by NYC’s famous Serendipity III, this boutique restaurant features casual food and the most amazing ice cream creations. You can even order Serendipity’s legendary Frrrozen hot chocolate and sundaes!
Morimoto
Last, but certainly not least, is Morimoto. This restaurant was created by the eponymous Iron Chef and features fresh sushi (including an Omakase tasting menu), raw bar, and a variety of Japanese entrees. While I didn’t get a chance to eat at this restaurant, I can only imagine that it’s just as fabulous as his other restaurants.
As if you couldn’t already tell, I fell head over heels for the Boca Raton Resort. The entire experience was magical, and I’ve already referred countless friends and family to this gem in Boca Raton. If you’re planning a beach vacation, definitely check out this resort. You will NOT be disappointed. If you’re a Florida resident, this hotel is a perfect staycation. You can take advantage of the discounted summer rates (their slow season) and still have a luxurious vacation!
