Affordable Lace-Up Shoes for Summer
For the past year, I’ve been lusting over a pair of $400 shoes. Every few months, I’ll look them up online and consider add them to my shopping cart; however, I can never click the order button. They’re absolutely beautiful shoes, but I always think about the long list of things that I could do with $400. While I could use the money to buy a gorgeous pair of heels, I could also plan a trip to New York City or head to the beach for the weekend with my husband! At this stage of my life, I’d rather skip the overpriced shoes and stick to investing my money in experiences with my loved ones.
Thankfully, Payless has my back. Their new releases are fabulous and completely on-trend. They even have an entire section of their website devoted to one of my favorite trends of the season, lace-up shoes. I picked up the Juliette Ghillie Pointed Pumps a few weeks ago, and they earn compliments every single time I wear them out on the town. In addition to their darling aesthetic, I think this pair of heels is extremely comfortable and great quality for the price.
I paired my new shoes with a flowy leopard print skirt and off-the-shoulder top for a recent date night with my husband, and I loved how the look came together. I don’t normally wear bold animal prints, but the classic cut of the skirt and my fabulous new heels helped to bring out my inner Carrie Bradshaw. I had so much fun twirling around town in this feminine outfit!

After wearing my black heels a few times, I headed to Payless to pick up a few pairs of affordable lace-up shoes for summer. I’ve been looking for a pair of lace-up ballet flats, so I’m thrilled to have found this style for under $20. I also found two pairs of gladiator sandals that will be perfect for summer vacation!

At the end of the day, I’m happy that I didn’t splurge on the expensive shoes I mentioned earlier. For less than 1/4 of the price, I was able to buy four adorable pairs of shoes from Payless, and I still had enough left over to book a weekend trip to NYC! I mean, shoes this cute deserve to be shown off in the Big Apple, right?
