Key West Vacation Outfit
It may have been two weeks since I was in Key West with Stephanie and Christina, but I’m still daydreaming about the bright blue water of the Keys and the gorgeous scenery at the Gates Hotel Key West. In fact, I’d pay a crazy amount of money to be teleported back to their pool with a pina colada in my hand, but unfortunately I’m stuck in the real world answering emails, editing photos, and watching the rain pour down outside my window. Thankfully, these sunny photos by the talented Mike Freas from Foto by Freas are totally lifting my spirits and helping me remember all of our crazy Key West shenanigans! Now that I’ve whined about how lame my life is compared to our glory days at the Gates Hotel Key West (full trip re-cap coming soon!), let’s get down to the outfit details. There are bright colors every where you look in Key West, so it’s basically mandatory to wear a pop of color in every outfit. We had a big day of sightseeing planned, so I decided to wear this casual and comfortable outfit to our brunch and shopping trip. My colorful skirt from Target is a vacation outfit staple, and I usually like to pair the colorful tribal print with basic neutral pieces to balance out the look. My Bella Dahl sleeveless top from Rosie True is made of some sort of magical material that’s softer than anything else I’ve ever felt, so I naturally had to find an excuse to fit it into this outfit. If you’re a fan of socially acceptable pajamas, you should buy Bella Dahl stock. It’s seriously that soft!
And now for the fun part- accessories. I like to keep my outfits quick and easy on summer vacations, so I wore a few basic items throughout the trip. I picked up this classic straw tote from Lilly Pulitzer at the Key West Lilly store, and it’s now my most-used summer bag. It’s the perfect size to store all of your essentials, and the woven straw and gold leather match everything in my closet. Along with my new clutch, I wore my new Express Angular Retro Sunglasses and Kendra Scott jewelry (Elton Bracelet, Jana Bracelet, and Owen Cocktail Ring) every single day of the trip. All of these items are absolute must-haves in my opinion for vacations and everyday life!
