Shaking Things Up For Spring
|c/o | |
The Banana Republic team chose an adorable and the coolest, and I couldn’t have been happier with their selections. Was I terrified of the decidedly loose drop-waist? You betcha. I would have absolutely taken a look at the Foulard Flounce Dress from Banana Republic (currently 30% off + also available in black) if I saw it in-store. The colors scream FSU game day (GO NOLES!), and the fluttery skirt is a girly-girl’s dream. With that being said, I wouldn’t have even tried it on because I would’ve assumed that it wouldn’t work for my body type.
When I tried it on at home, I was so shocked that the design was actually flattering on my 5’3 and curvy frame, and I immediately noticed the comfortable fabric and versatile design. I kept things simple in today’s look to show off the feminine cut of this dress, but I’m already imagining the possibilities. It would look darling for Spring Break paired with , but I think it would also be perfect for fall football games with a chunky sweater and cognac boots.
While I’m normally not very adventurous with my clothing, and I am all about statement accessories. Theare definitely a must-have for spring and summer. The lace-up detailing is completely on-trend, and the design is well-made and extremely comfortable. While I love the pop of color from the blue snakeskin, I just bought the same style in gold for my upcoming cruise! These gorgeous shoes also come in nude and red, and I highly recommend that you pick up a pair! The quality is fantastic, and the soft leather doesn’t require any break-in time.SHOP THE LOOK

This mini-styling session has given me so much inspiration for my spring wardrobe. I’ve recently donated, thrown away, or sold almost 50% of my clothing and accessories, so my closet is definitely ready for a few new items. Right now I have my eye on this floral beauty! Ok, ok, I have my eye on the entire at Banana Republic!
I’d love to know what your favorite styles are for spring! What trends are you loving right now? Any new collections I should take a look at?
