What’s In My Bag + Rimmel Keep Calm Lip Balm Coupon
Raise your hand if you’re the nosy friend who likes to search through your friend’s purse at every opportunity. For reference, I am raising both of my hands way, way up in the air! I’ve always loved looking through my friends’ purses, closets, bedrooms, agendas, ok…basically all of their stuff. Not because I want to get all up in their personal business, but because I love seeing what people use on an everyday basis. Today I’m going to let YOU be the nosy one. I’m sharing what’s in my everyday handbag and a pretty sweet coupon!
I obviously carry my keys and wallet in my purse at all times, so we’ll skip over those things and move onto the important stuff: makeup and jewelry. No matter how hard I try to maintain a minimalist handbag, my purse inevitably becomes a haven for dozens of tubes of lipstick and a random assortment of stray earrings and tangled necklaces. This month, my lip products of choice have been from the line at Walmart. Keep Calm and Kiss (Pink Blush) and Keep Calm and Shop (Clear) are my current favorites from the line, but I’ll admit that I own all six colors! Yep, I’m a lip balm hoarder. The brightly colored packaging instantly makes me smile, and I’m addicted to the sweet rose candy scent! In addition to my lip balms, I like to keep a small assortment of basic jewelry in my purse in case I need to switch up my look midday. I’m currently favoring dainty gold pieces and anything/everything that includes a pineapple!
Now that we’ve covered the girly stuff, it’s time to move onto the “business” side of my handbag. I never leave the house without my trusty agenda, notebook, and at least 2-3 pens. Even though I have my schedule on my phone, I still prefer to keep a paper planner with me at all times to keep track of appointments and work assignments. My notebook contains everything from to-do lists to blog post ideas to random doodles. Physically writing down the day’s tasks calms me down and keeps me organized, so my notebook is absolutely always in my purse! And then there’s my pen situation. I am very, very picky about my pens. I exclusively use gel ink pens with a bold writing tip (and even then I’m picky about the brand and design), so I like to carry around my favorite pens in a variety of colors to keep my planner organized and pretty!
The other business essentials that I carry with me at all times are my business cards (in a cute case, of course) and a portable charger. I recently made the mistake of leaving both of these items at home during my last press trip, and it was an absolute disaster. I had to email at least a dozen people my contact information that could have easily been passed along with a business card, and my phone was constantly dead. The moral of the story: if you are a blogger, keep business cards and a charger in EVERY single one of your purses just to be safe!

There are a lot of other things that can often be found in my handbag, but trash is not very photogenic haha. If you’re curious, my handbag almost always has a dozen crumpled receipts, 1-2 half-eaten bags of gummy candy, and at least one empty water bottle floating around the bottom of the bag. I’m just keepin’ it real, folks!
Even though my business items are useful, I still have to admit that my girly lip balms are my favorite item in my handbag! The line provides just the right amount of moisturizing oils to soften your lips, and each variety has a beautiful light color for a just-bitten effect.
