As I was shooting this super cute My Kind of Lovely look at the beautiful Gates Hotel Key West with Foto by Freas, I noticed that a couple also staying at the hotel was watching me pose for photos. The woman in the couple got really excited. She started taking selfies with me and Mike in the background, and they both started giving tips to us! The woman instructed me how to pose, and the man suggested that my photographer use his lighter in the shot…who knows why! The couple was absolutely hilarious, and after a few minutes of this game the woman insisted that I wear her hat in my photos! She was speaking Spanish, so I’m not sure exactly what she was saying to me – but I got the message. She showed me how to pose and refused to leave until I wore her hat. This little encounter still makes me giggle, and guess what- she was right! The hat did totally make the outfit work!

Not that this adorable pink seersucker dress from My Kind of Lovely needed any extra accessorizing. The classic fabric and darling bow detail on the back make this dress a must-have! I met the My Kind of Lovely at the Southern Blog Society Conference, and I instantly fell head over heels for their Southern charm and the sweet selection of clothing and accessories that they sell. The owners are absolute DOLLS, and they had the cutest booth at the conference BY FAR! Shh…don’t tell the other companies that were at the conference haha! Another must-have from My Kind of Lovely is their Totes Adorbs bag for obvious reasons. Just face it- you need it!
