Fellow short girls of the world, today’s post is for you! I’m sharing my Create + Cultivate outfit that I wore for nearly 14 hours at the conference (read about my experience here). It’s cute, comfortable, and conference-tested. My dress is another fabulous find from the Target girls’ section. Oh, and it’s under $20 too!
When Michelle, Teresa, and I arrived at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills the night before the conference, our second order of business was figuring out our outfits for the conference. If you’re curious, our first order of business was getting food, obviously! After we found something to eat (and I got my Diet Coke fix), we headed to the Beverly Center to find the perfect outfit. As usual, I just wasn’t thrilled with anything at the mall. I did manage to find a fun outfit for the pre-conference mixer (see the full look here), but I couldn’t find anything that would work for the conference. I obviously wanted something that was cute, but I knew that I needed an outfit that was incredibly comfortable. The conference was set to last for 12 hours, and I didn’t want to get stuck in something uncomfortable all day long. Thankfully, Target came to the rescue.
This neon striped fit-and-flare dress from the girls’ section at Target caught my attention within seconds of entering the store, and the $19.99 price tag made me love it even more. As usual, the dress fit like a charm. For reference, I’m 5’3/size small or 2-4 in dresses, and the Target girls’ section XL fits perfectly. If you’re the same size as me, the large will also fit, but just know that it might be a little short. You can see the length of a size large here. I kept things simple by adding in a few of my favorite accessories, including my beloved Banana Republic Eryn Heeled Sandals (see them styled in other outfits here, here, here, and here), and a bright pink lip. This dress was comfortable all day long, and I received at least a dozen compliments. If you’re a fellow short girl and need a fun new dress for summer, definitely check out this style!
P.S. Didn’t Mash Elle look absolutely adorable? Talk about legs for days!
