Photo Hoarders Anonymous
True story: my husband and I have known each other for over ten years, and we barely have any pictures together. Of course we have our wedding portraits, but there are entire years of our relationship that don’t exist in photographs. I used to have the same problem with most of my family and friends too. We’d get together, have a wonderful time, and somehow manage to leave without a single photo. When I first noticed that I had this problem, I made a resolution to document my life through photos as much as I could without taking away from the magic of the moment. Life is so beautiful, and I never want to forget special moments with my family or my exciting/crazy/stupid adventures with friends! I bought a fancy schmancy camera, upgraded my iPhone, and began snapping photos every chance I could get! I started my first blog (RIP Ashley Brooke version 1.0) and recruited Stephanie and Michelle to join me in my blogger nerdiness, so I officially had a reason to document everything. With three bloggers documenting each outing, let’s just say the photos added up quickly.
Fast forward a few years…I now have the opposite problem. I have so many photos on computer and phone that it’s absolutely overwhelming. My memory is nearly maxed out on both devices, and it’s nearly impossible to find a photo from a specific event. Seriously, it might take me an hour to find the right folder from a family vacation because there’s just too many files, and they’re all dreadfully unorganized! I love having so many photos, but they’re not very useful collecting virtual dust in unopened folders on my laptop. I want to be able to easily access all of my photo memories all the time, and now I can thanks to the blogger/photo hoarder’s best friend: Lyve.
The Lyve app is available for free in computer, IOS or Android versions, and you need to download it immediately. Seriously, don’t read this post until you download it because it’s awesome.
Ok, now that you’re a fellow Lyve user, let me tell you how it works. Lyve magically optimizes all of your photos, so that they’ll fit on your phone. Yes, I did say all of your photos. Have 150,000 sitting on your laptop? No problem! Lyve organizes them into perfectly organized events, and you can access them 24/7 on your phone or computer- for free! Now the app doesn’t backup your photos, so if you’re interested in organizing your photos on a stable device, you’ll want to invest in the Lyve home device. This 2 TB local storage device automatically backs up your photos from your phone and laptop, so you can keep the storage on your devices free to take even more photos. You don’t need a Lyve device to use the Lyve app, but it does allow you backup your photos in style. If you’re interested in winning the $299 Lyve Home for yourself, there may be a fun giveaway below… As if Lyve didn’t already sound awesome enough, they also make it easy to share your best photographic moments with your friends. Simply log onto the Lyve app, and you can easily share your photos on social media or send them to your loved ones!
If you’d like to win a 2TB Lyve Home photo storage device ($299 value) for yourself, simply enter using the Gleam widget below. You’ll need to download the free app on either your computer or phone, and there are also a few bonus entries to give you a greater chance at winning! Good luck!
