I’ve never been the girl who wears the trendiest clothes. I’ve never been on the cutting edge of fashion, and I don’t think I ever will be…because it’s just not me. Whenever I try to wear anything too trendy, I feel like I’m playing dress-up – like I’m trying to be someone else. My closet may not be adventurous or incredibly varied, but I feel confident and beautiful in each and every piece. My ultimate fashion goal isn’t to be a trendsetter. I just want to create outfits that make me happy and showcase my personality, and classic, feminine pieces are the types of clothes that make me smile!

This navy beaded dress from ShopSeptember is one of my favorite new additions to my wardrobe, and it definitely puts a big smile on my face! The classic design and intricate details make think of old school Hollywood, and the navy and black color scheme is kind of perfect. It’s the perfect dress for a dinner date, cocktail party, or night at the theatre, but it also looks pretty fantastic hanging on display in my room!
