may i introduce my new addiction: tophatter + {free $10 credit!}
So…I have a new BFFL. His name is Sir Wendell Wattington, and he is quite dashing in his little suit and distinguished monocle in my opinion.
It’s so much more fun than Ebay because each auction only lasts for a minute or so, which leads to better deals and instant gratification- plus it’s just plain fun! I was so excited to get the chance to try out Tophatter, and I scored some amazing deals.
So why is my biffle a cartoon character? Well, he just happens to be the face of Tophatter– one of my favs that is kind of like a mix between Ebay, South Park (just the animation- it’s completely family friendly!), and online shopping. Oh, and it’s a LIVE auction- except without the annoying auctioneer voice incessantly chanting in the background!
See what I mean about looking like South Park?

They literally sell everything, just like Ebay, but I naturally gravitated towards the girly stuff! I was so tempted to buy this decorative string because I’ve seen so many cute Etsy stores wrap their packages with it (and it was super cheap), but thankfully my somewhat practical side kicked in and I reminded myself that I would never use that much string in my entire life.
My first find was a MAC bronzer for $11 (including shipping!), which is a great deal because they’re normally over $25 each and it’s brand new! Then I was a little impulsive and bought a 20-piece mystery assortment of Milani products for $15- the picture above is what the auction showed, but I ended up getting some great products (3 lipsticks, 2 glosses, 1 bronzer, 1 blush, 3 mascaras, 1 powder, 3 eyeshadows, 1 highlighter, and 5 eyeliners!) which would have cost at least $70-80 if I’d purchased them separately!

My last purchase will either be an incredible deal or a mistake. I bought 12 brand new MAC brushes with a bag for $25 including shipping. MAC brushes normally cost more than that A PIECE, so I hope that when they come in they’ll be authentic and good quality. I’ll keep you posted, but the other products I bought were both authentic and brand new!
Overall, I am now a Tophatter addict and find myself checking out the auctions a few times a day on the iPhone app as well as on my computer! If you’d like to try Tophatter for yourself, you can get $10 off any auction of $11 or more when you sign up for Tophatter through this link! – and there are PLENTY of auctions around that price point! They sell everything under the sun, so you can probably pick up a free Christmas present for someone or just for yourself with the credit 🙂 Let me know what you guys pick up!
