Forema Boutique is one of the amazing brands walking down the runway at this Saturday’s Park Avenue Fashion Week event, so I was beyond thrilled to receive the opportunity to be styled by their Creative Director Ally for the Fashion of Cocktails event. While I love fashion, I have a tendency to stick to the same aesthetic over and over again. It’s not a secret that I’m a fan of colorful pieces with a fit and flare silhouette, but I was determined to give up control and let Ally choose pieces that would showcase Forema’s signature style. The first dress I tried on was this little black number. I was immediately intimidated by the tight fit and dramatic neckline, but the longer I wore it, the more comfortable I felt. After adding my own accessories, this dress seemed less daring and more “me.” The risk definitely paid off because I received at least a dozen compliments on my outfit at the Fashion of Cocktails party!
If you have a tendency to get stuck in a fashion rut like me, take a trip to your favorite local boutique and ask for outfit suggestions. Being styled by someone else can open your eyes to new styles and silhouettes that you might normally ignore. Ally and all of the beautiful ladies at Forema Boutique are incredibly stylish, and I highly recommend checking out their adorable boutique if you’re in the area. If you don’t live in Central Florida, no worries! Their website features most of the items found in store!
While I stepped out of my comfort zone with this outfit, I’m retreating back into my normal cupcake attire for Saturday’s event. I’ll be wearing Forema Boutique, and let’s just say the dress is 100% me! If you haven’t bought your tickets to the Park Avenue Fashion Week runway show, tickets are still available! Use the coupon code PAFW15 to get $15 off your ticket purchase!
