La Prairie Transforming Cream
It feels like I’ve been living out of lately. While I’m certainly not complaining about back-to-back trips, my travel schedule has forced me to re-think my daily routine. Things just don’t seem to work the same when I’m not at home. Work seems to take longer to complete when I’m away from my office, and little things like my meal schedule fall into a different rhythm.
Another thing that changes when I’m away from my home are my fashion and beauty choices. For example, I’m in New York City right now, and even though I packed a suitcase full of clothes, I’ve worn the same two outfits every day of my trip. Walking around the city all day and being prepared to go into different types of events or venues requires a specific type of clothing that’s functional, comfortable, and cute, and most of the clothes don’t fit those requirements. I found a few looks that work, and so I’m sticking with them in order to maximize the amount of time available to explore the city.
I’ve had a similar problem with the makeup that I’ve packed on my last few trips. When I’m at home, I like to look through my collection and find the perfect items for that day’s mood, but things couldn’t be more different when I’m traveling. I don’t want to have 50 steps in my morning beauty routine, and I don’t want to deal with fussy products. For example, I packed three different foundations and two moisturizers for my trip to NYC, but I’ve ended up only using the La Prairie Ice Crystal Transforming Cream on my face each morning.
The La Prairie Transforming Cream is a lightweight product that has the benefits of a sunscreen, moisturizer, and a foundation in one product. In addition to containing broad-spectrum SPF 30, the cream features self-adusting pigments to provide a natural color that blends into your skintone. Purple saxifrage, soldanella alpina, and Swiss snow algae also provide anti-aging benefits. It’s a pricey product, but it’s made my morning routine while traveling extremely quick and easy.
After washing my face in the morning, I’ve been applying the La Prairie Ice Crystal Transforming Cream in the shade Nude with my fingertips. The product includes a really nice brush; however, I think that applying the cream with my hands provides more coverage. I really like that this tinted moisturizer blends into the skin easily and provides natural, skin-like results. As you can see in the before/after photos before, this product gives your skin an extra boost of color, evens your skin tone, and dries to a satin finish.
Despite featuring moisturizing ingredients, the La Prairie Ice Crystal Transforming Cream doesn’t make my skin greasy throughout the day, and it’s held up well in New York’s springtime weather. La Prairie is a high-end brand, so this product has a high price tag. If you’re looking for a product to replace your morning moisturizer, sunscreen, and foundation, and you value high-quality skincare ingredients, this product might be the perfect fit for you.
I’d also like to add that the cream has a very strong perfume fragrance as you’re applying the product to your face; however, the scent quickly dissipates and doesn’t linger throughout the day. If you’re sensitive to fragrances, I’d recommend getting a sample of this product from your local La Prairie counter before making a purchase.
I can safely say that I really like the light to medium coverage of this product, but I’ll have to get back to you on the skincare benefits. I’ve only been using this product for six days, so it hasn’t been long to see noticeable results. I will report back soon! I’d love to know your thoughts on the La Prairie Ice Crystal Transforming Cream. Have you tried this product before?
