CUTE SCALLOPED DRESSES:
I’ve been doing a major closet purge this week. I just have too many clothes that aren’t flattering or don’t fit my current style preferences. I have the urge to get rid of everything I own and start fresh, so I’ve decided to take advantage of my negative mood and get rid of all of my clutter once and for all! I’ve already filled six bins to capacity with items I’d like to donate, and I can’t even tell you how many things I’ve already thrown away! I’m blessed to have more things than I’ll ever need, so I’m happy to pass along all of my unused items to local charities, friends, and family. My ultimate goal is to have a closet filled only with items that I love. I want to be able to close my eyes, reach into my wardrobe, and be happy with whatever item I pull out.
So what does that dream wardrobe look like? Well, you girls know that in my dreams it would probably consist of 70% dresses, 20% yoga pants, and 10% platform heels, but I should probably be more practical than that. I’m mainly focusing on investing in classic feminine pieces in flattering cuts and comfortable fabrics. I’m trying to expand my collection of separates, but I’m failing miserably at that endeavor. I just can’t help myself. Dresses are so cute, so flattering, and most importantly they’re just SO easy! I love being able to get fully dressed in only a few minutes, so I don’t think my dress addiction will be going away anytime soon. Maybe I’ll drop the percentage from 70% to 60%…maybe. In the meantime, I’m going to wear my favorite dresses all-day, every day- including today’s beautiful gray dress from Pink Blush.
When I saw this dress on the Pink Blush website, my jaw dropped. A gray and white fit and flare dress with a scalloped trim? It might as well have been custom-made for my closet. Since this dress is basically perfect, I’ve been wearing it everywhere… or almost everywhere. If I could get away with wearing fancy dresses and 5″ inch heels to the grocery store and Taco Bell, I’d do it. The design is so feminine and pretty that it makes getting ready a breeze. You really only need to pop on a pair of your highest heels and add one statement piece to look fabulous in this dress! I didn’t want to hide the gorgeous scalloped neckline of my dress with a necklace, so I finished the look with my newemerald earrings. The design of the earrings is stunning, and they’re exceptionally comfortable for a statement earring. I’m the girl who normally takes her earrings out after about thirty minutes, but I wore this pair for over five hours and didn’t experience any tugging or discomfort.
What would your dream closet look like? Any fellow dress addicts out there?
