Halloween is less than two weeks away, so it’s time to get your costume ideas finalized! I can never decide what I want to be, so I’m always scrambling to the store at the last minute to find a costume. Inevitably, the costume that I want to buy is sold out, so I’m forced to search through my closet for the perfect costume. This year, I’m skipping the costume store entirely and adding a few new fashion pieces to my wardrobe that create the perfect black cat costume but will also be fantastic items to mix and match for fall and winter! Whether you’re greeting trick-or-treaters or heading to a Halloween party, this stylish costume is the cat’s meow.

Creating a chic black cat costume couldn’t be easier. I’m planning on pairing black leggings with a long-sleeved black blouse and furry charcoal vest. To complete the outfit, I’ll add my trusty black suede booties and wear a cat ear headband and a clip-on cat tail.  The finished look is slimming, stylish, and positively feline. If you’d like to add a little bit of sass to your kitty cat attire, throw on classic red lipstick and thick cat-eye eyeliner. You can even use the eyeliner to create a cat nose and whiskers if you’re feeling festive! The best part of this costume is that all of the pieces (except the cat ears) can be incorporated into your everyday fall and winter wardrobe. This costume is a much better investment than spending over a hundred dollars at the costume store on an outfit you’ll only wear once!
