Cute Easter Basket Ideas + Easter Party Favors
My family always went all-out for Easter. We’d read about the resurrection of Jesus and learn about Palm Sunday weeks before Easter, and in addition to learning about the true importance of the holiday, my mother would decorate every inch of our home with adorable pastel decorations. My mother and maternal grandmother were two of the most creative people I’ve ever known, and they made our Easter celebrations truly amazing with fun Easter egg hunts, amazing food, and of course, absolutely beautiful Easter baskets. Now that I have a daughter of my own, I want to carry on their tradition of creating magical holiday memories for my little girl.
Even though Summer will only be seven months old this Easter, she’s already had so much fun planning our Easter events with me. We recently visited the Lindt Chocolate Shop at the International Premium Outlets in Orlando, and she giggled with delight as she got to hold and examine all of the gorgeous Easter chocolates. Of course, her favorite was the famous Lindt GOLD BUNNY, and it was so adorable to see her cuddle with the same chocolate my mom gave me a child!
If you’re on the hunt for cute Easter basket ideas for kids, babies, toddlers, and adults, today’s post is for you! I’m sharing a sneak peek at the Easter baskets I’ve created for my daughter, niece, and nephew along with a few ideas for party favors for your Easter guests. I’ll also show you my favorite Easter chocolates of all time from Lindt that are guaranteed to please everyone in your family.
Cute Easter Basket Ideas for Kids
As much as I love decorating our home for Easter Sunday, my favorite part of the holiday is always creating Easter baskets for the children in my family. There’s nothing that can compare to seeing a child’s eyes light up with wonder when they see the baskets, and I’ve had such a great time creating baskets for my daughter, niece, and nephew this year. I’m in a particularly festive mood this year, so I have to admit I went all out with the candy. Each basket is filled to the brim with my favorite Lindt Easter chocolates that I picked up at the Lindt Chocolate Shop. There are 56 Lindt Chocolate Shops across the US with 4 locations right here in Florida. When I’m creating cute Easter baskets for little girls, I always try to include a mix of practical and fun items. This year, I filled my niece’s basket with a few of her favorite books (she’s an AMAZING reader thanks to ‘s brilliant teaching skills), a bouncy ball, the cutest stamp markers, a fun zip pouch to store her favorite items, and of course, lots and lots of yummy Lindt chocolate!
I just had to include a Lindt GOLD BUNNY in each of the kids’ Easter baskets because it was always my favorite Easter candy as a child. I’ve always had the milk chocolate variety, but I was ridiculously excited to see that they now sell a variety of different flavors at the Lindt Chocolate shop in Orlando. I decided to go with the white chocolate flavor for my niece, but I picked up one of each flavor for the other baskets!
If you’re never been to a Lindt Chocolate shop before, I highly recommend clicking here to see the closest store to your home. These chocolate shops are a chocolate lover’s dream come true. They have every variety of Lindt chocolate, and they have absolutely everything you need to prepare for Easter! Of course, you’ll want to pick up a famous Lindt GOLD BUNNY (available in a variety of sizes and flavors), but they also have adorable chocolate ducks, chickens, carrots, and more! It makes shopping for Easter baskets so quick and easy. You can create your own Easter basket in store with the famous Lindt GOLD BUNNY, Lindt chocolate figures, delicious Lindt LINDOR eggs, and more!
Once I collected all of the chocolates, toys, and trinkets for my niece’s Easter basket, I placed them into this adorable canvas Easter basket. I just love the pink seersucker ears! While I forgot to take a picture of this step, I wanted to tell you that I always like to hide a few extra Easter eggs underneath the main goodies!
I filled a few plastic Easter eggs with a mini Lindt GOLD BUNNY or Lindt LINDOR truffles, and I carefully tucked them into the basket’s filler. That way, my niece and nephew will get a sweet surprise as they empty their basket! My mom always used to hide extra chocolates at the bottom of my Easter basket, so it’s a tradition that I love continuing.
Cute Easter Basket Idea for Little Boys
As much as I love the girly stuff, it’s equally fun to create cute Easter baskets for little boys. I filled my nephew’s Easter basket with a mini soccer ball, cool sunglasses, a fun new book (he’s also an incredible reader!), bubbles, and of course, tons of candy! I selected the hazelnut variety of the Lindt GOLD BUNNY for his Easter basket because of the adorable green bow, and I also added in a Lindt Little Chick in milk chocolate, mini chocolate bunnies, and as many Lindt LINDOR truffles as I could fit in the basket’s empty spots!
There were so many fun chocolate options at the Lindt chocolate shop that I nearly went home with the whole store. We ended up bringing home two HUGE bags after buying all of the chocolate we needed for Easter baskets, our Easter party, and of course, Easter party favors. I just love the Lindt Chocolate Carrots. They’re just so adorable!
Before adding these goodies to the top of the basket, I tucked a few Easter eggs into the basket’s filler for my nephew. I can’t wait to see his reaction!
Cute Easter Basket Idea for Babies and Toddlers
My daughter may only be seven months old when Easter comes around, but I just couldn’t resist making her an Easter basket. Of course I’ll be removing the Easter candy from her basket because she’s not quite old enough to eat it, but I wanted to include some in the photo to show an idea for the older toddlers in your family!
Even though Summer won’t get to munch on Easter chocolate this year, we do have a Lindt GOLD BUNNY saved in our pantry for her first birthday. The amazing clerks at the Lindt Chocolate shop in Orlando let us know the chocolates last for one year, and I just know that Summer will love this special treat because she was absolutely infatuated the this Lindt GOLD BUNNY at the store.
As you can clearly see in these photos, Summer was determined to sneak chocolate into her diet haha! We managed to keep her from actually eating the chocolate, but it was impossible to keep the packages out of her mouth. She literally grabbed at least half a dozen chocolates and truffles off the wall and stuck them straight in her mouth. Needless to say, we bought a lot of extra chocolate, so that her drool wouldn’t be on someone else’s chocolate haha! You can see our entire trip to the Lindt Chocolate shop on my Instagram stories under the highlight tab “Easter.” Simply search for @ashleybrookenicholas on Instagram to see my profile, click the Easter circle, and watch the entire shopping trip video on Instagram stories.
To create a cute Easter basket for babies or toddlers, I recommend picking up a cute sippy cup, several cuddly stuffed animals, pretty bows or headbands for little girls or a cool hat or neck scarf for little boys, and an age-appropriate toy or two. We opted for a soft bear rattle for our little girl, but you can choose whatever type of toy fits the child’s age and interests. If you have an older toddler in your life, I’m sure they’d love to also have a taste of a yummy Lindt GOLD BUNNY or chew on a delicious Lindt Chocolate Carrot. I cannot wait for Summer to have her first bite of chocolate later this year!
Party Favor Ideas for Easter
If you’re planning an Easter get together with your family, I highly recommend making small party favors for your friends and family. Adults won’t expect a sweet treat for themselves, so it will be a fun and very appreciated surprise! I picked up these adorable “Somebunny loves you” bags for our Easter celebrations, and I’ve filled them with a variety of chocolates – including the Lindt GOLD BUNNY in regular and mini sizes, Lindt chocolate carrots, Lindt Mini Chicks, and of course, my favorite Lindt LINDOR truffles!
My dad used to always buy me Lindt LINDOR truffles as a kid (and now as an adult too!), so I was thrilled to be able to see the entire range of flavors at the Lindt Chocolate shop at the Orlando International Premium Outlets. In the past, I’ve only tasted the main chocolate varieties, so it was sooooo fun to be able to taste every flavor that they make. If you’ve never tasted LINDOR truffles before, you need to try one immediately. They melt in your mouth and have the most velvety smooth texture in addition to a world-class taste!
As I mentioned before, the Lindt Chocolate Shop is a chocolate lover’s dream! One of my favorite features in the store is the Pick & Mix display, where you can create your own custom mix of Lindt LINDOR truffles. Since my husband and I both have large families, we decided to pick up the largest flat-price box available for Easter. We selected 150 truffles for only $40, and we were able to get a wide selection of all of the truffle flavors.
While we’ve saved the vast majority of the LINDOR truffles for our Easter celebrations and Easter baskets, I have to admit that some of the chocolate have mysteriously (or not so mysteriously haha) disappeared. So far, we have loved each and every flavor! My husband favors the dark chocolate varieties (his favorite is the 70% dark chocolate), and my favorite flavors have to the be Sea Salt, Orange, Mint, and the new Blueberries & Cream flavor! We had the opportunity to sample the Blueberries & Cream flavor in the store, and oh my goodness you guys, it is SO GOOD. Perfect for spring and summer!
We also picked up a bag of Lindt LINDOR truffles for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, who are hosting my husband’s family’s Easter celebration. I’ve had the Lindt LINDOR eggs in the past, and they are so delicious! Plus, they come in a cute package already, so they’re ready to gift and perfect for a quick and easy hostess present.
So there you have it – three adorable Easter basket ideas for kids along with fun Easter party favors and hostess gifts. If you’re in a hurry and don’t have the time to customize your own Easter baskets, you can also head to your local Lindt Chocolate Shop to pick up ready-to-give Easter baskets and gifts.
