Cookie S’mores Coffee Recipe
Every autumn, I start craving coffee. My diet soda addiction is well-known (and believe me, it’s not going anywhere), but there’s something about a warm cup of coffee on a chilly day that’s absolutely irresistible. My coffee obsession has also been in high gear because I’m getting ready to throw, not one, but two holiday parties over the next few weeks. I’m planning to have a coffee bar set up at each party, so I’ve been searching for the perfect holiday coffee recipes for my guests to enjoy.
While on my quest to create a fun holiday coffee drink, I headed to Walmart to add a few new bags of Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee and flavored syrups to my collection. I’ve been experimenting with different recipes each day, and I think I’ve finally found my signature coffee drink recipe. I call it Cookie S’mores Coffee because it’s a mix of toasted marshmallow, speculoos cookies (the cookies that are in cookie butter), and rich chocolate. It’s absolutely scrumptious, incredibly easy to make, and the sweet flavors couldn’t be more perfect for the holiday season! Cookie S’mores Coffee RecipeThe first step is to brew a cup of your favorite coffee. I’ve been digging Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee in Original Blend and Turbo lately. They’re smooth and give you the perfect kick of caffeine without any harsh bitterness. The coffee aisle at Walmart has a huge selection of coffee and syrups, so you’ll definitely be able to find your signature blend. If you’re heading to Walmart to pick up a bag of Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee, use Ibotta to get a rebate on your purchase.
Once your coffee is brewed to perfection (and hopefully poured into a festive holiday mug), it’s time to get the party started. Add in 2 tablespoons of toasted marshmallow syrup, 1-2 teaspoons of Belgian cookie speculoos syrup, and as much chocolate syrup as you’d like. This flavor combo gives the coffee the perfect amount of sweetness along with a little bit of spice.
Now that your coffee is as sweet as can be, it’s time to add some creaminess. Add in your favorite milk (dairy or non-dairy both work) to your taste preferences. At this point, you’ve created a stellar cup of coffee, but we’re not done yet…
And now let’s take your coffee to a completely different level. Add a huge swirl of whipped cream to the top of your Creamy Cookie S’mores Coffee.
Then apply a generous drizzle of dark chocolate syrup.
And for the pièce de résistance, we have the most fun part of all: toppings. To maintain the cookie s’mores theme, I’d highly recommend toasted marshmallows and speculoos cookies. If you’re wondering how to make toasted marshmallows in a hurry, simply place a few jumbo marshmallows in a pan and turn on your oven’s broiler. Your marshmallows will be delightfully toasty and gooey in about one minute.
While the coffee is my favorite part of this drink, the crumbled speculoos cookies definitely come in a close second. The sweet cookies have just the right amount of spice, and they make this drink taste out of this world.
After your toppings are perfectly assembled, add a toasted marshmallow to top and enjoy your sweet coffee creation. This drink is decadent and completely over the top, but it’s also completely worth every single calorie. SO good.
