Santa Monica Sunset
Whenever I visit LA, I always have to hit up my favorite spots (In-N-Out is a MUST), but I also attempt to visit at least one or two new places. Despite living in Southern California for several years, I still haven’t seen everything that the area has to offer. Case in point: I drove by the Walt Disney Concert Hall every day for nearly two years while I was in school, but I never took the time to take a tour. Every single time I see my LA friends post a picture from this stunning silver building, I want to smack myself for not making an effort to visit the concert hall in person. During last month’s trip with Stephanie and Michelle, and I made it my personal mission to visit the Walt Disney Concert Hall and finally cross it off my lengthy LA to-do list.
On our first day in LA, Stephanie and I finally made it over the beautiful concert venue, but I was so busy admiring the architecture and trying to avoid a crazy group of tourists that I completely forgot to take a picture of the entire building. Oh well, I guess that means I’ll just have to go back! In the meantime, here are some photos of my LA sight-seeing outfit- including the most comfortable pair of in my collection, as well as few photos from our sunset stroll at the Santa Monica pier!
This outfit couldn’t have been a better fit for the day. The light layers were perfect for the breezy California weather, and my favorite were as warm and comfortable as ever. I think that this pair of might become my official vacation shoe, because they’ve served me well during my recent trips to California, Las Vegas, Asheville, New York City, and Colorado Springs. They’re ideal for traveling because they look great with nearly everything in my closet, and they’re comfortable enough to wear for a full day of walking. I’m seriously considering ordering a second pair in black!

After we had explored downtown LA for a few hours, we hopped in the car to drive to Santa Monica for the GenBeauty creator party. We had just enough time to grab a quick dinner at Lemonade (another MUST-visit LA restaurant) and catch the gorgeous Santa Monica sunset before the party began. It was the perfect ending to the first day of our trip!
If you ever get a chance to visit Los Angeles, definitely spend a day in Santa Monica. In addition to a variety of fun shops and restaurants, the beach view is unbelievable!
