Stepping Into Fall
I am literally in disbelief that summer is almost over. It feels like I blinked, and the summer months passed without me noticing. While I plan on enjoying every last minute of the remaining five weeks of summer, I have to admit that the fall fashion editorials are starting to tempt me with their cute fall outfit ideas. It’s still too hot to break out the riding boots and thick sweaters, but I’ve still been enjoying adding thin layers and deep jewel tones to my favorite summer outfits when I’m headed out to dinner. Yes, I am totally the girl who will be shivering in her sweater if the restaurant’s air conditioning is below 78 degrees. What can I say? I guess I’m a true Floridian!

This casual fall outfit idea has been on repeat over the past few weeks. The , striped halter top, and cardigan all fit into my “socially-acceptable pajamas” category because they’re incredibly soft and oh-so comfortable. Plus, they’re all perfect summer-to-fall transitional items. Each piece is lightweight and breathable in the heat, but the rich navy and hunter green shades make it equally appropriate for fall outings.

As always, my favorite part of getting dressed is accessorizing. You guys know I’ve been raving about the , , and, but I have to take a minute to brag on the newest addition to my shoe closet: the. We all know that the classic UGG boots are the most comfortable shoe in the entire world, but their ballet flats give them a run for their money!
I honestly had no idea that had a huge range of shoe designs until UGG invited me to visit their newest store in Disney Springs. The store is absolutely beautiful, and the relaxed California vibes made me completely reenvision my thoughts about the UGG brand. I walked in thinking I’d pick up a pair of boots for fall and winter, and I left with a three-page shopping list. Seriously.
I love the detailed stitching and delicate metal studs, and the shoes’ shape is perfect middle ground between a pointed toe and a rounded toe. The light grey color also is great year-round accent to your wardrobe.

If you’re looking to add a few transitional items to your closet for late summer and fall, definitely look into a lightweight cardigan and a cute pair of ballet flats. They’re classic pieces that will quickly become staples in your wardrobe. I’ll be sharing a few more transitional outfit ideas over the next few weeks, but let me know if you have any requests!
