A Floral Wrap Dress to Wear Anytime
I originally picked up this pretty BB Dakota floral wrap dress for our trip to Longboat Key (see our full vacation details here and here), and it’s turned out to be one of my favorite spring wardrobe pieces. The charming cherry blossom print makes me smile, and the flattering faux wrap dress design (it actually zips on the side) is surprisingly bump-friendly. It looked great when I was smaller and not showing as much at around 3 months pregnant, but I think that it’s equally comfortable and figure-flattering now that I’m about 5 and half months pregnant. I’m trying my best not to buy too many new items that I won’t be able to wear post-pregnancy, so I’m thrilled that this non-maternity dress can stay in my closet for the long haul.
Speaking of le bébé’s effect, she definitely keeps me running a little bit warmer than usual. Even though I’m normally the type of girl who wears sweaters during the summer, I am now the person who is continuously lowering the AC. Thankfully, the lightweight fabric and fluttery sleeves on this dress make it easy to wear in the heat, and the faux wrap dress design that zips on the side gives the illusion of a wrap dress without the potential for wardrobe malfunctions. Sticking with the them of comfort, I had to pair this gorgeous floral wrap dress with my favorite nude lace-up heels. Sam Edelman seriously knocks how to make a pair of comfortable shoes because his Yardley Heeled Sandals couldn’t be easier to wear.
