I’m a serial over-packer, but I’ve been trying to change my ways. On my last four trips, I’ve challenged myself to fit everything I need in one carry-on bag. While I’ve succeeded in squishing all of my things into a tiny bag, I now have the opposite problem: I haven’t been packing enough. I think it’s my brain’s not-so-subtle way of enabling my shopping habit because I’ve ended up buying clothes during my last few trips.
I may have traded one problem for another, but at least I scored a cute outfit on my recent trip to Create + Cultivate in Los Angeles! I had nothing to wear to the networking social the night before the conference, so Michelle, Teresa, and I headed to the Beverly Center for a quick shopping trip. We stumbled onto an amazing Banana Republic sale, and this outfit was one of my favorite purchases!
I have been the biggest fan of Banana Republic this season. Their Eryn Heeled Sandal is my most-worn pair of shoes over the past few months, and I’ve loved this elbow-sleeve featherweight merino wool crew and flare print skirt (comes in petite, regular, and tall lengths). They’re well-made, classically-designed, and extremely comfortable. While I originally bought this look for the Create + Cultivate party, it also accompanied me on my recent weekend trip to NYC and lunch in Tampa. It’s just too cute not to re-wear!
