Easy and Affordable Wall Art Ideas for Small Spaces

August has always been one of my favorite months. The beginning of August is a last minute sprint to enjoy the remaining days of summer, and then the back to school season starts! While freshly sharpened pencils and shiny new textbooks may be at the top of your back to school shopping list, home decor items are absolutely essential for any college student. When you’re living away from home, it’s so important to create a space that’s uniquely your own! Your dorm room or college apartment will be your home away from home for several years, so you want to create a space where you can feel comfortable. The cramped spaces and generic layouts of dorm rooms aren’t exactly cozy or cute…at all. After living in four tiny dorm rooms during my time at college, I’ve basically mastered the art of living in small spaces. With a few small home decor items from Dormify, you can easily and affordably create a space that’s fun and unique!

Student housing is usually bland and generic-looking. One of my favorite ways to instantly transform a small space is to add an accent wall. Placing a bright color or fun pattern on the wall directly behind your bed will add instant personality to the room and will make it seem larger! Unfortunately, most dorms and apartment complexes won’t allow you to paint or wallpaper the walls to prevent damage, but I’ve found the perfect solution: removable wallpaper! I found this amazing teal and gray chevron removable wallpaper at Dormify that easily sticks to the wall without leaving any damage to the surface below!

Whether you’re headed to college, moving into your first apartment, or simply re-decorating your home, statement pieces like wall art can instantly add personality to any space.
