Adventure Time: Hiking the Zion Narrows
Earlier this summer, I hiked the Zion Narrows in Utah with my husband and Clay, one of our best friends. The boys had to do some major bribing to convince me to go on a two day, 16 mile hike through waist deep, forty five degree water, but I am so happy that we were able to convince me to go.
Some of the pictures are not 100% clear because we had to keep the camera in a waterproof case for most of the time, and be aware that while it looks like we’re headed to a Star Wars convenion, we were really wearing waterproof suits to prevent hypothermia and rashes…so this post is definitely not glamorous!
I only got swept away by the current once!
Brave men!
Can you tell how massive the Zion Narrows are?
After finishing the two-day hike, we were able to drive around Zion National Park for a bit before we stopped at the nearest restaurant. After living on limited water and protein bars for two days, Wendy’s seemed like a five-star meal.
The boys knew that I wouldn’t go on the trip unless I had a major reward, so they booked an amazing room at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on the way back to LA. Oh, and they took me to one of my favorite restaurants in the area.
We were so lucky to have a room directly overlooking the famous Bellagio fountains!
I highly suggest hiking the Zion Narrows to anyone! It was a fun adventure with friends, and I hope to visit Utah and Zion National Park again in the future.
