Easy Holiday Glamour

Today’s post is sponsored by Hair Cuttery. As always, I value your trust and only partner with companies that I truly love.

Over the past few months, I’ve been in full-on mama mode. My daily wardrobe has mainly consisted of leggings and baggy sweatshirts, and my normal beauty routine involves running a cleansing cloth over my face in the morning and throwing my unwashed hair into a messy bun. As much as I love each cuddling with my baby girl in my low-maintenance cozy clothes, sometimes it’s nice to feel like a normal adult again.

When Michelle, one of my very best friends who also happens to be my first cousin, suggested we get dolled up together for a holiday event we were both attending, I jumped at the chance. I’m such a sucker for the holidays, so I was absolutely thrilled to bust out the holiday glamour. I threw on my new holiday party dress, painted on red lips and sparkly eyes, and headed to Hair Cuttery with Michelle to get pampered!

While my beauty routine is extremely low-maintenance these days, I really do love getting dressed up. The former ballerina in me dreams of the days when I’d spend hours perfecting my makeup and costume before The Nutcracker, but most days I barely have time to shower- let alone apply a full face of makeup or style my hair. Thankfully this glamorous holiday look came together in no time, and it was so cute to see my little Summer Rose’s reaction to seeing her mama with her hair and makeup done for once!

While Summer spent some quality time with her daddy, Michelle and I chit-chatted and caught up with each other while our Hair Cuttery stylists worked their magic on our hair. While I walked in with a limp and lifeless hair, I walked out with big sexy curls that were absolutely perfect for our holiday party. My stylist Lena knew exactly how to create the perfect curls, and she locked the look into place with my favorite hairspray – Cibu Finista (see my honest review here).

While I absolutely loved the finished look, I loved the time I got to spend with my friend too. Whether you’re a mama looking for a little bit of pampering or just want to catch up with a friend, consider booking an appointment at your local Hair Cuttery with your friend instead of (or in addition to) heading to your favorite coffee shop. We had the best time, and we had the added bonus of leaving with an ultra-glamorous hair style!

Once I got home, I threw on this gorgeous off-the-shoulder lace dress, my favorite black pumps, a glitter clutch, and the most gorgeous rose gold statement earrings. Then I added a little bit of glitz and glam to the look with my all-time favorite red lipstick and the best glitter liquid eyeshadow. Since my hair was already done, it took no time at all to finish getting ready, and then it was time to grab my handsome husband and cute baby girl and head out to our event with Michelle!
